Nothing? It's one of the best superhero movies ever made.

Nothing, it's the best hulk movie, the best hulk, and one of the best marvelshits in general.

This. The cast and style were both perfect.

Literally can't tell if that's from Ang Lee Hulk or Scary Movie 3.

There was a Hulk parody in Scary Movie 3?

No.

Good Banner
GOAT Betty Ross
Great General Ross

Why did people hate It?

youtube.com/watch?v=ZWM6-38cz74

Was pretty good actually, Ang Lee actually tried to make a good film rather than the smashy smashy bang bang superhero movies we have now. Also, the soundtrack is amazing.

>*record scratch*
>*freeze frame*

Yep, that Hulk. Probably wonder how Hulk end up in situation.

Kek

Nothing. It's the pinnacle of capeshit.

Went above audience heads, it did not match their expectations. Marvel pushed a soft reboot aligned to general audience and I believe the box office had no real difference between hulk & incredible hulk.

Probably the ending fight. Personally i love lee's hulk but that seems to be the big complaint that isnt related to the effects.

Also good ferigno cameo.

Forced daddy issues, endless running and jumping, "deep" symbolism.

Thats not Darkman though.

people didn't like it because nanomachines and stuff

I like how he looked in this one.

What was with that trippy scene with young Banner under the table? Was that some sucky attempt at showing a progression of time?

Mwaahhh see

No. People did not like it because it was boring.

oh you're asking me why normies thought it was bad? doesn't matter they think anything remotely good is bad

Patrician taste friend

it's far less boring than those captain america shit films

Hulk is amazing, best cast, best atmosphere, it's all about anger, incomprehension, and trusting yourself.

the last scene with the murder of the father is fucking amazing

peole are just stupid.

it's the only capeshit movie with blade 2 that have multiple layer of lecture and interpretation, with strong and deep character that antagonize how a superhero is just a beast and their creator are the real monsters.

now it's about cgi shitfest, product placement, bad actors, poor jokes and all covered in shit

The movie was great overall but even by 2001 standars the Hulk CGI felt fake, and people reacted very negatively to this.
Also, the final battle was underwhelming and ended far too fast.

10/10

This is actual Capekino

Ang Lee was the original capekinographer

That took me quite a while

>product placement

Probably the poor editing and dialogue and acting. Also paper thin substance that the critics and audiences saw through but today's Fight Club "DAE think da Joker was in the right too???" chugging internet movie buffs are intent on seeing as meaningful because they never leave the basement.

Why does this board have such a low IQ when it comes to its hobby?

>it's all about anger, incomprehension, and trusting yourself.
Please unpack how this movie explores any of these issues beyond a reading level 1 grasp. "It's like when I'm angry I become a monster" "Our fathers were dicks so we don't trust each other". Watch more films neckbeard.

Nothing

For a capeshit movie, it's far better than the majority of them

I liked it.

It's the most experimental of all the capeshit and has an iconic look and feel

That said I just didn't like it.

> poor editing
Debatable. Lee was actually trying something new, unlike modern capeshit.
>poor acting
Nope

Why doesn't Hulk talk anymore

you talk like a fag

The fuck happened to Hulk?

Am I the only one who thinks Hulk looks great in this movie?

loved the music when he was leaping across the desert

seriously underrated film and better than nortons

>deleting his post
What did he mean by this?

the ending is fucking stupid

Bruce Banner has always had daddy issues.

People expected more punching

Even in the comic adaptation the last fight was more "real", with Absorbing Man turning into a giant gamma-guy instead of just weird energy

Because hulks dad was a fucking monster..
DCtards should appreciate that that character is probably the darkest fucking mind we'll ever see on the big screen. Also the dogs were a bit shit.

I really like the film though, well cast and creative way to do cuts between scenes. Enjoyable. I think both Hulk films are criminally underrated (for different reasons).

those aliens look way better than the ones in the movie

Decent flick, Eric Bana is based and the cartoony comic aesthetic worked really well.

The soundtrack was absolutely great

youtube.com/watch?v=Ie1waJKUA2s

That scene where the Hulk grabs banner through the mirror scared the shit out of me when I was younger.

Why is he ducking a missile dildo?

I loved it as a kid, grew to appreciate it as an adult. Some scenes are a bit cringe, but it's honestly a great take on a comic book hero

Contrarion piece of shit. That movie was fucking garbage and you know it.

Get over yourself mate.

One of the best capeshits a

It's too bad they didn't keep on going with the hulk because he had some good stories from the comics they could use and it would be cool to see she hulk show up
I'd probably get a raging boner

Dumbasses saying this absolute shit is good.

>shitty comic stylized borders throughout the movie that show different scenes taking place
>scenes that were no better than a live action motion comic

Making a comic book movie doesn't mean you literally need to make it look like a fucking comic book, dipshits.

Love/hate relationship with this film desu, some parts are truly kino
The videogame Hulk (2003) was awesome

I also liked The Incredible Hulk desu, really underrated film

>"You think you can life with it? Take it. TAKE IT ALL."

That awful fucking ending. It's all longwinded bullshit. Def kino tho, guise

youtube.com/watch?v=NX5sDIAVXDE

Ang Lee. The movie desperately wants to be cerebral without actually feeling like even utilized its own concept. The only good scene was Hulk fighting the army.

youtube.com/watch?v=PSGXERUKBj4

Agreed.

This theme makes me remember the transformation into Hulk everytime, in the new movies such effect don't exist.

i don't remember it being that bad

Fun fact:
The original Hulk model they made for the movie was way more realistic looking, and very advanced for its time.
But then the director wanted it to look more like a cartoon instead, so they had to go back and redo the model to make it look worse.

We were easier to please back then

Is that the Ultimate Destruction one? That one was based af.

the destruction mechanics were fun as hell, nothing like levelling a city as Hulk wearing Union Jack boxers

everyone who says this was a good movie doesnt remember how bad it was

>starwarsprequels.cdr

holy shit

Nothing. It was a Shakespearean take on a comic book character and it was amazing. This is how marvel movies should have continued to be.

THIS WAS FUN.

Looks like only DC is making movies like this anymore. Also the Edward Norton movie was really enjoyable as well.

The only thing that went wrong is Marvel's greed and refusal to do a Hulk movie

>You wouldn't like me when I'm Ang Lee.

What did he mean by this?

Nah I think he looks good too

Great scores is what is missing from marvel movies now. This was so memorable.

It's not marvels it's universals fault

Looks better than Wheedon's Hulk for sure.

>THIS WAS FUN
one of the main reasons it was shit was because its NOT fun. its awful throughout and you only like it to be contrarian. i bet you hate the incredible hulk too

...

says the god damn retard

...

P O E T R Y

Superior to all capeshit made since

The comic book panel shit was awful and the hulk dogs were retarded.

But its one of the more patrician capeshits. At least it tries to go for something deeper than HULK SMASH

based

It was bad. Remember the gamma dogs? Remember the unnecessarily complicated origin of multi-species implants + nanobots + gamma rays (I think)? Remember the incoherent final battle with Absorbing Dad?

fuck my sides have been ripped away from my body before i had time to react

No, i like that he looks human

...

these motherfuckers trying to meme me into rewatching this shitty movie

FUCK YOU

>Hulk
>Dirtected by Ang Lee

>Amazing Spider-man
>Directed by Marc Webb

>Green Lantern
>screenplay by Michael Green

I really liked it but

>the dogs were kinda shit
>betty didn't land with people
>they did that weird picture in picture cutting too often.

>EVERY. FUCKING. TIME.

Anyone who defends this piece of shit is retarded desu.

...

oh my god I forgot how retarded this tripe was

>Thor 2
>Directed by Alan 'Yes Man' Hack

Pottery

>EEEEEHHHH
>TAT TAT TAT TAT TAT TAT
>WHAT'S UP CAP?

Marvel and Ruffalo. Now he is just a giant faggot. Norton and Bana were considerably better.

He looks like human shrek from shrek two, but green. Very contradictory.

His father used to beat him in the comics. Thats why his alter ego is a super compensating macho. Its just like hemingway

I loved nick nolte's character. He was scary.
