honestly these sound like they would be a lot better live. The instrumentation is pretty basic and no-frills. The allure of Carpenter was that warm analogue synth sound. This sounds too polished.

I'm working on the script right now, and I'm really happy with my progress so far. Been listening to Carpenter music for inspiration (primarily the EFNY theme and stuff from Lost Themes) and it's helped a fuck-ton.
I'm gonna have to watch EFNY and Big Trouble again. Hopefully they'll feel better after a second run.
