Was his
justified?
>a little boy that doesnt know better
>saw his family geting killed
>literally left alone in the world
>forced to stab jon because coercion group
>unable to comprehand the actions of Jon with his childish mind
if you where happy that this innocent child got hanged for killing someone that allowed "the murderers" of his parents to live, you are a bad person.
Was his
justified?
Old enough to stab a dude, old enough to face the consequences
>>>/syria general/
If Jon hadn't of recruited the Wildlings, Olly and the rest of the watch would have gotten raped by White Walkers either way. Hes supposed to be what, 11? Jon and Robb were basically treated as adults from that kind of age.
this is a medieval world, olly's already supposed to be married with kids and run his own farm
he had a shit life and i'd feel sorry for him, but he deserved it
Absolutely it was justified. The little shit knew it too.
He was a dumbass but hardly dumber than a lot of older and more educated characters on the show. His hatred of the wildlings was completely justified and Jon underestimated that. He would have been raised on nonstop stories of how evil the wildlings are and then they come and brutally kill his whole village, consisting of his family and everyone else he had ever known most likely. It's not exactly a surprise that this illiterate farm boy couldn't grasp the rationale of letting wildlings through the wall that had protected his family for generations for some vague greater good. Again, most adults in the show can't comprehend that.
He did have a punchable as fuck face though.
it's no secret that most fans of the show and books don't get what the authorial intent is. must be almost as bad as when the Sopranos was airing.
>Jon looks really guilty at hanging Olly
>lmao fuck u little shit XD
thats like you would say most germans are nazis but thats not true because most are turkish
>little boy
In medieval culture he would be considered on the verge of manhood at that age
>saw his family getting killed
boo hoo, everyone on the whole show has seen their family killed at this point
>alone in the world
Adopted by Uncle Jon, who took him in as his favored disciple and was grooming him for eventual leadership
>forced to stab job because of coercion
sounds like he should grow some fucking balls to me
>unable to comprehend
He comprehended it just fine, he was just blinded by his own self-righteousness. He was arrogant.
>innocent
nigga please, if he was innocent for leading Jon into a trap then the wildlings that killed his parents were innocent because they didn't know any better either, right?
>I'm a bad person
This is the only correct thing in your post, but it has nothing to do with this little cold blue faggot.
>it's a Sup Forums internalizes the logic of a primitive setting and presents it as morality thread
It was justified in the context of the scene but still depressed me, because Olly was just a kid carried by the events. It's kind of funny that at a time in the show where traitors usually get unpunished, one of the only scene where justice is served to some of them still makes you feel like shit.
>literally Texas USA

if you're black at least
It was sort of inevitable in one way or another. Thorne would have known that the Wildlings would have found out eventually and fucked them up. The Nights Watch at this point resembles a gang of hobos under an underpass more than a fighting force. I'd say Thorne was kind of noble in his own stupid way for taking the action he thought was right but I'm pretty sure he just wanted to regain the tiny bit of power he had in the world.
you're giving the show too much credit by taking showThorne's motivations seriously - if he didn't want the Wildlings on the south side of the Wall he didn't have to let them through in episode 10.
He took the risk, and lost. Nuff said.
>innocent child
>stab someone in the heart
ok
Sure if we were in today's society it wouldn't be, but he's in a world where it's accepted for people his age to be fighting and he's part of a military group tasked with defending humanity. Jon doesn't have time to be debating the ethics of whether or not one of his troops is old enough to be liable for his actions, he's too busy dealing with shit that matters a lot more.
yes but if he didn't let them in that would announce his treason to everybody (including those loyal to Snow and the wildlings)
safer to disobey your lord commander in secret
fully agree with you
dumbest shit ive ever read
He's a tragic character. I cant blame him for his actions, he's a child who saw his parents hacked to death by savages. But I also understand the penalty for (high) treason is death. Jon had no other choice.
>it's an "it's an xyz" post
It's very simple
He was a traitor and a murderer. Yea, maybe he didn't understand but raising him long enough to decipher that is too much trouble and it's smarter and easier to just hang the failed offspring
>forced to
Hold on now.
>kill someone
>He comes back to life and kills you
>THAT'S NOT FAIR
Eat shit. I'd have done it too.
>a little boy that doesnt know better
He wasn't that young.
If he was a niglet, you'd want him dead. Since the actor who plays him is Irish, then it's a hop, skip, and a jump to being negroidaloid.
this
anyone who defends him is probably pro-choice
Who cares if it was justified or not?
Sometimes kids get hung after killing their Lord Commander and his red snatch.
