As a Marvelfag, I'm honestly hyped for this movie.
I may love the MCU, but Xmen was the reason why I fucking love Marvel movies. I grew up with the Xmen. And the Avengers. And Spiderman.
And sure, they are separate universes but, and the way I see it - the Xmen are better off in their own universe, fighting to prove their worth and validity in society, while the Avengers are hailed as the pragmatic, encumbered yet dauntless heroes they are. They are two separate universes that don't need to be together, but rather, should work together, if possible. Hell, I hope there's a Deadpool/Captain America teamup someday.
And heck, I'm hyped for Apocalypse. We're had 16 years of buildup and its come down to this. Apocalypse. It will be to the Xmen what Thanos is to the Avengers. And it is about damn time.

I really enjoy both the Xmen CU and the MCU. Days of Future Past is what Age of Ultron should have been. And now that I think about it: Civil War was about as good as X2. Well, Civil War had some advantages over X2
