The mystery of how the fuck those writers got hired in the first place.

Why were the barracks shown underwater as if the hydrogen bomb had gone off in the 70s if the "flash-sideways" universe was really the afterlife

His dad died. Jack was bringing his body back on the plane.

i hate lost but the memes are supreme

you are the best

Hey reddit!

...

How did Eloise know about the Lamp Post and how to find the Island and Widmore didn't.

...

reddit loves lost and fringe
Sup Forums loves the leftovers

the egyptian statue

I never understood what the rules were. How do you make a new rule? Is there a limit to what you can do? Can you make a rule that says something like "the smoke monster shall disappear forever"? Can Hurley make new rules now that he's in charge of the island?

Quick Sup Forums, enter the numbers in order!

> the L O S T threads of wayback then
>The camaraderie
>The jokes

Those made that show soooooooo much better. if you niggers are here,
thanks

nigga wut

4 8 15 16 23 42

i had an aspie attack when you wrote this

You can make new rules as long as they don't contradict the old ones. That's my take. Jacob can't kill Smokey 'cause he can't kill his brother.

>ywn re-experience this with Sup Forums

fucking gold

this is some calvinball shit

/r/ that vertical of Ben and Alex in the flash sideways where she says "lol your island, right" or something to that effect

L O S T threads were the only reason I kept watching the show. I don't think I've laughed harder in my life, and Sup Forums hasn't quite been the same since the show ended

How about the rules between Ben and Widmore? Never explained or touched on again after The Shape of Things to Come.

...

The fan theories back in the day were amazing and would have made for a better ending than what we got.

I can only hope that one day there is another show with as many mysteries and clues as Lost but has competent writers.

>Show regularly is regarded as one of the greatest tv shows ever
>consistently tops greatest television show lists
Typical piece of shit Sup Forums

>TFW the last season of The Leftovers takes place in Sydney and will end with some kind of reference. to Lost.

Think about it. Isn't it weird that Damon hasn't brought a single cast member from Lost on the leftovers? Show creators always bring back actors they've worked with before.

>unLocke steps over Sawyer's and Hurley's dead body
>Kate screams and runs into the arms of Jack
>Jack: "Kate - get in the plane! We have to get off this island!"
>they both run up the plane
>unLocke chases them
>kate and jack trip in the aisle of the airplane and they both fall down
>they stare up at unLocke as the monster smiles and raises his knife
>jack and kate both hold onto each other tightly
>they know this is the end
>BLAM!
>a bloody hole appears in the middle of unLocke's chest
>he looks down in confusion, touches the blood
>his eyes roll back and he crumples to the floor
>behind him is Frank Lapidus with a shotgun
>"Didn't you see the sign?"
>"No smoking."
>L O S T

...

In all seriousness if I have no knowledge of this show and no baggage is it worth watching? Is it actually a good show?

>tfw you skip all the flashback/flashforward bullshit nobody cares about and just watch the gilligan's island parts

1. They thought it was a joke
2. What?
3. Dharma was gone. No more testing. Why recapture them?
4. Look up an interview with David Fury about Walt. Pretty much explains it.

Some fan theories were amazing

...

...

>tfw the fan theories were 100x better than the show's canon

Kekd hard

How about we hear some of these amazing fan theories then

...

LOST revival when?

sequel-spinoff miniseries or full season sometime within the next 3 years, guaranteed

>they announce a Lost sequel
>it's Hulu exclusive

NO DONT THE NUMBERS ARE BAD

The bomb wasn't part of the afterlife scenes

when the bomb goes off in the 70s; we cut from the white flash to the sideways-afterlife-verse (which was either created in that moment or they just decided to enter into it then); one of the main features of the sidewaysafterlifeverse is that an explosion detonated in the 70s that prevented, in the future, Oceanic 816 from crashing on the island
of course that doesn't really matter too much in the long run, it was just a way for the writers to introduce to the viewers the alternate reality

YOU AREN'T SUPPOSED TO THINK ABOUT IT

Much of the show was built on an epic showdown between Ben and Widmore.

One was reduced to a whimpering faggot and the other got shot in a closet.

The writers were complete hacks.

Perfect example of great fan theory:

For years fans had wondered how the ship - The Black Rock - managed to get marooned in the middlenof the island.

After it became known that the island could move in time and space, the fans theorised that the island had simply materialised around the ship as it was sailing along - instantly marooning it.

Seemed like a very eloquent solution and would have been used as an argument for the forward thinking of the writers.

But no.

In the show the ship gets carried in-land by a fucking tidal wave. Utterly fucking rediculous.

And thats just one minor example.

Walt fan theories were pretty amazing too. That Walt caused the crash and Walt had powers he was learning to control. He manifested the polar bear and that the series would center around Walt and his powers.

but no... it's all coincidentally there.

its a lets include every demographic then add the most important character in the last season then kill him episode.

This is by far the unfunniest one of these. It's just so bad. I remember when the OP kept spamming it and everyone said the same thing. I just hope you're not the OP still posting it years later, that would be too autistic.

When I started watching this show I thought all the call mysteries were going to be solved like some rational detective movie. Instead I got shit.

*cool

I was so sure that Abaddon was Walt that I still believe that's what the writers were planning it, but they fucked it up and never bothered rolling with it.

youtube.com/watch?v=c2va5kpMaRE

Definitely Walt. Calling him Mr Locke, telling him stuff from the future, etc.

why the hell is terry o quinn still doing straight to dvd movies the guys a proper QT that deserves a firstrate capekino role like mandarin

the bird that sang hurley

MEESTAH EHKO

becaus he'll durndu you

I WILL PUUUSH DA BUTT UUN

...

They seemed to be building towards that idea early on and realised that they kid would age pretty rapidly in real life so they wrote him out.

...

...

it was literally the best thing ever
you had to be there
but yes its worth watching

...

The reveal of what the smoke monster actually was ranks as one of the all time great TV show letdowns.

a true classic

the mystery of why im not inside juliet right now

we're never told what the smoke monster is

...

Absolutely. It's a 10/10 ride

what if its actually just a smoke monster.

it's the past

Good.

Why, you actually think saying its a demon or a swarm of nanobots is an actually good explanation?

Did you even fucking watch the show?

Fans theorised is over being an ancient sentient being, a Djinn, a man-man security system experiment with nanobots gone wrong.

All them intriguing ideas.

But no. It was just a guy with mommy issues.

again, it's the past

no, the guy with mommy issues fused with the smoke monster and gave it purpose and a drive
the smoke monster has been there as long as the light has

Half the mysteries in the show were handwaved away with "muh electromagnetism"

no its that boss from mortal kombat that steals peoples souls.

Where was that ever explained on the show?

Wouldn't say half but the ones that they couldn't explained I can imagine that would've done that.

lmao

it's not
a lot of stuff isn't outright explained for plebs
but i know because there's egyptian art of them worshiping the smoke monster on the island

that's only a theory.
all we see is that he gets pushed into the heart and then becomes the smoke monster
