I hate that interviewer in general but Quentin Tarantino is so full of himself. You'd think he made 12 Years a Slave and not a goofy western with cartoon violence and cartoon characters.

Tarantino got a bit awkward and didn't know how to deal with it but Krishnan was literally trying to bait him. Not even necessarily the question he was asking but things like giving a smirk when asking why he likes making violent movies, and then instead of moving on after his question was answered he goes "so what you just get a kick out of it, or enjoy it or something?" Asking if he gets a "kick out of it" is language that he clearly intends to be offensive, or at least suggest that getting a "kick out of violence" is a bad thing without trying to entertain Tarantino's viewpoint. But then he gets all defensive and giggly because he can see that he's stirring the pot without attacking him directly.

His job is to be respectful and ask questions, not try and antagonise the guest. Literally bully tactics and I doubt he cares about or has put any thought into a supposed link between enjoying movie violence and violence in real life, but it's easy for him then to defend himself by saying he's talking about an important topic.

He's a fucking cringe journalist, I hate the Robert Downey interview he did where he trolled Downey's dad and past drug problems during a fucking Marvel junket. Downey looked like he was going to kill him.

Channel 4 (the network) is regulated and has heavy restrictions on how much advertising it can do - so basically a press junket has to have show some sort of ulterior motive other than advertising. So with RDJ, instead of "Oh hey, advertise your movie", it was "Oh hey, let's say you're here for the movie, but discuss drug use - an important political issue that we can pretend this junket is really about". The same happened with RDJ - only it was "Let's discuss movie violence and censorship - an important political issue". Really, the interviewee should have been informed of this beforehand. Krishnan (interviewer) is also a cunt and is clearly trying to bait them into an angry response.
