It sure as hell tried to be. Everything Gosling said or did was a poor attempt at humor. And the amount of cop buddy movie clichés was gag-worthy.

What is your point? Anyway Superbad is by all accounts a good movie. I wouldn't watch it much today but at the time it was hilarious and as a teen comedy it was one of the best of the past ten years. There are many 'good' mainstream comedies.

Then why not let it be dead and move on? The story was a mess and uninteresting on top of that. I was getting annoyed toward the end with how sloppy the story was and how I could predict 9/10 joke punchlines.
