Do you guys ever hate-watch a series instead of just turning off as soon as you realise it's shit?
Making my way through pic-related at the moment - it's awful. Every scene goes absolutely nowhere, none of the characters are likeable, and the guy's voice is the most annoying thing I've ever heard. And yet I keep watching, don't know why, just feels good to be angry at things.

Probably close to a million dollars, it's in Silver Lake after all. That's the one inconsistency that bothers me on the show. Jimmy's book wasn't successful and yet he can buy a baller house and never works. We know his family isn't giving him money cause they're poor so where is the money coming from? The rest of the characters money situation makes sense, Gretchen has a good job, Edgar leaches off of others, Lindsay leaches off of Paul, where is Jimmy getting his money from?

I finished the first season through supreme mental agony. I honestly cannot remember if I laughed a single time in 10 episode, and this is supposed to be a comedy. And that "sunday funday brunch" or whatever the fuck episode, I think I lost 10 IQ from watching that episode. Good god was it bad.
I know people here shit on Love a lot, but if I am to be completely dead honest, I found it watchable and funny at times. It even had top tier waifus, compared to YTW which doesn't have a single one.
I thought Legends of Tomorrow looked shit then gave it a chance. I thought episode 1 was okay and gave another chance to see if it improved, I don't know how it happened but I made it to episode 13 without remembering that I had the option to drop the series. It's been flat out bad for a really long time now and I wish I never bothered.
Ray Palmer is such a cunt of a character and Martin Stein goes out of his way to do the right thing all the time, it's so annoying how you can tell exactly what a character is going to do because of how poorly they are written.

I liked it better than Love. I found Gus to be completely unlikable and I thought it relied too heavily on cringe comedy. I think YtW is really good, I'm not one of the people who spam images from it on here either. I think it can be pretty funny at times and I like the characters. If you disagree that's ok, but I strongly prefer YtW to Love.
You're the Worst has characters who at least work well together. They are jaded and cynical assholes who have spent their lives looking after themselves and thinking love is dead and romance isnt real. The show is about them coming to accept the fact that they do like each other and the conflict that comes from embracing those feelings. see: the ep where Gretchen follows the married couple and becomes friends then has a breakdown when the husband tells her he hates his life.
Love has unlikeable characters I dont care about seeing together. It's all self-destruction with no redemption or even really an arc. Paul Rust attacks a woman in the writers room because every upbeat needs a downbeat to follow. It's out of character and there's no reason for it. If there were a recurring theme about Paul struggling to become a writer and follow his passion and learning to accept criticism or compromise his ideals, then fine. Instead, it's just there.
