there are a quite a few people in Japan who know about Germany. When I was in Japan last summer I was asked why my accent sounds so American since the person accepted me to sound like Arnold Schwarzenegger when I said I was Austrian. So the know quite a bit, especailly since Arnold has already made commercials in Japan
