ITT: "That" show you weren't allowed to watch.

Beavis and Butthead

My dad wouldn't let me watch the Dukes of Hazard or Different Strokes. But somehow Benny Hill was A-OK...

I remember watching Aeon Flux when I was a kid and I remember a scene with two guys who I believed were dry humping a squeaking object, does anyone know what I'm talking about?

>that kid who wasn't allowed to watch the simpsons

kek, how old are you user

Both of these actually.
But I remember I watched the first ep of AF with my grandma in my room, I was in my bunk bed (only child), and she was like, "Are you sure you should be watching this."
And I was like "yeah it's fine," and watched the whole damn thing in 1995.
RIP Grammy, you're the best.

King of the Hill.

My mom and I watched the pilot and she heard the line 'Ill tear you a new one' and that was that.

I was 10

>in the car
>imitating that one spanish or mexican fairy from fairly odd parents
>flex and say "MUY MACHO"
>apparently flexing my arms in front of my chest made it look like i was pretending to have tits and calling them macho
>mom bans fairly odd parents
>dad laughs and tells me to watch it anyway later

The Simpsons, my mum thought that I would emulate Nelson and grow up to be an unsympathetic ass because he made fun of people misfortune

same.
and MADtv

imagine not being allowed to watch Simpsons during the better, earlier seasons
> all that missed quality and legitimate plot line and character development with no B-plot filler bullshit, or if there was a B-plot it was matching the A-plot in quality
image doubly related

And she was right

And here you are

To be fair to my folks there are tits in like every other episode. Not that telling me I'm not allowed stopped me or anything.

Sopranos

South Park they let me watch.

I was allowed to watch whatever I wanted, because my parents didn't suck.

Had to watch the first season in secret after mom caught me watching the episode with Scuzzlebutt.

I-I wasn't allowed to at first. It only made me like them more when I stayed up to watch them on shitty VHS recordings.

Ed, Edd & Eddy

When my parents finally let me watch it, it was the episode where the Professor and Mom have sex.

Ari Graynor

That was me. I've still never seen more than maybe 5-10 episodes ever.

Uhh...

...

After my mom heard it had a lot of vehement violence.

...

wow, ur mom is stupid

i dont remember anything specifically
my parents were pretty lax

Ren and Stimpy, but I watched it at my friend's house anyways

Are you me?

I had no oversight when it came to music/tv/movies i suppose they would have stopped me watching a porno but it never came up.

Yes. Those guys were really, really high.

then you'll know who this guy is.

>wasn't allowed to watch TV during the week
>Wasn't allowed to own video game console

X files, after watching the fire guy episode
That increased the fucking mistery

Was there really? I've never watched it but my sister told me she watched it with my mom at 5. She's never been very strict about what we watch, but I didn't think she'd be watching shit with comstant nudity with my sister when she was that young. I always assumed it was just a goosebumps rip off since she watched it at that age. Also my show was South Park but only until I was about 10. Was aloud to watch all the other shit though, family guy, American dad, the Simpsons, King of the hill, and futurama.

I'm 61 years old. What of it, you young pup?

my dad didn't let me watch this either. Said I could when I turned 18. I've asked him about that rule and he's since admitted it was one of his less sensible parenting rules

>Be me
>Age 6
>See in the TV guide that Superman is on (never seen before)
>Ask parents if I can watch it
>Not allowed to watch Superman because it's rated Y7 and I'm 6

die please before you suck more of my money out of Social Security old timer

My grandmother NEVER let me watch ren&stimpy. The one time she did, it was on the condition that there was no nosepicking.

That didn't last more than a minute

>being raised by your grandparent

don't know what you mean by ""that"" but this was the only show i wasn't allowed to watch as a kid

that dude probably fought in ww2. relax.

Your parents probably had the right idea. Also

>underage b&

yeah i remember that meme going around among all my schools parents.
stupid

>didn't have a TV in the house until I was 12 years old
>didn't have a video game console until I was 16

Get on my level, bruh

Pretty sure I've read every piece of YA fiction that was published before about 2004

>not getting dibs on your grandfathers sick ass WW2 stuff

hows that possible if he was born in 1955?

>fairly odd parents
how old are you exactly

I remember I watched the ghost in the shell tv series when I was like 10 and they walked in on one episode where someone had been flayed alive by the serial killer. They just flat out banned me from watching tv past a certain time.

>having a mother addicted to horror cinema
>watching the exorcist, cube, the texas chainsaw massacre (1974), hellraiser, evil dead saga and braindead at age of 10

Saw a couple episodes of Aeon Flux by accident staying up late.

Also Spawn.
I was a drawfag so I drew a scene from Spawn where some chick cut off a dudes head while fucking him.

sorry I'd rather take know and being raised by my parents instead

>Spawn
Holy fuck Ive never managed to find a decent torrent of that.
Or Aeon for that matter.

>tfw your parents never gave a shit what you watched, because they were too busy being tired and miserable

you'll have to settle with shitty rips of old shows like spawn and aeon, people still haven't ripped the early seasons of futurama despite there being plenty of bluray versions on amazon

my parents wouldnt let me watch austin powers with them because the allotta fagina hot tub scene

i was 6 when austin first came out and i saw it with my parents present
we even saw old reruns of it on the tv years after

>fairly odd parents started airing in 2001
>someone as young as three when it started would be overage
Damn, makes you feel old doesn't it?

If you're 61 then you were in your 20s when those shows were on. I call bullshit.

the simpsons taught me so much more about life than my parents ever did

There was never anything I wasn't allowed to watch.

oo yeah austin powers was my first pg 13 movie and boy way it a blast
