K I N O

Really? Can we not go one scene without having to shill the Blue Cross?

ignore it you cuck

wait till near the end
this last fight is like watching a police chase through a rainy windshield

It's because it's the future. You need the blue streak so you don't forget.

it was to represent the bright future of the federation

The ironing is that it's actually not a bad movie. Just that they seemed to have held down the gass-pedal a little hard on the siren-effect.

IT ONLY GETS WORSE OP

Fucking great film better than all other Trekkie stuff easily.

What's the name of that white-haired qt? Been searching for ages

>that scene in Into Darkness where Alice Eve is talking to her dad and 3/4 of her face is obscured by lens flare for like 2 minutes

Abrams is the worst.

>there are times when i'm working on a shot and i think oh this would be really cool with
>lens flare

keked at his delivery

abram's nose is straight out of a stormfront caricature

His wife sounds cool.

Those caricatures have existed for decades

Look up "stab-in-the-back myth"

Was it a bad cast?

No it was one of the most perfect castings even in film history.

It was probably the only good cast.

No, he was the perfect autist.

Oh come the fuck on, there isn't even anything blue on the screen.

Chekov was perfect too.

You like that you should watch Poughkeepsie tapes.

He was a good pick but a horrible actor. Fuck that kid couldn't act his way out of a bag.

They could have done better, easily.

I don't get it. These dudes are literally clever enough to destroy planets and time-travel, but they're not clever enough to realize that they're attacking the Federation in the wrong timeline?

thats funny

why aren't there webms of jj running shining flashlights at the camera

lmao

And you're not clever enough to actually watch all the film to realise how silly this statement is.

I'm just talking as I go m8. Quite the contrary I'm kinda' hoping that they'll manage to wrap it up neatly.

Still think JJ should have taken his foot off the pedal with the flare though.

Tbh I've seen it 4 times and the flares didn't even register with me.

Also this is the greatest scifi franchise in years.

As someone who liked the movie, but hasn't watched anything of the series, is the movie good?

Like does it portray the characters and events faithfully to the lore and the spirit of the show?

those flares are pretty tho.

Personally I like the flares. It makes the scenes more playfully abstract. Also notice how they throw in dutch angles when things get tense. Love that shit.

>The ironing is that it's actually not a bad movie.
Nice joke. Turned it off after 20 minutes. I just couldn't bear this awful acting and cheesy over the top scene of ship battle simulation.

Your loss retard

Sure thing kiddo

>kiddo

Please fuck off user I'm probably old enough to be you dad.

Nero was pretty cool tbqh

>those flares
>my sides

I liked the lense-flares.

Fuck off.

They're essential to differentiate the series from Star Wars

good cast, bad script and characterization

they obviously don't understand spock at all, and uhura is so different she might as well be an entirely new character

Can we agree that Karl Urban is actually the best cast? He was channeling DeForest's spirit.

>Like does it portray the characters and events faithfully to the lore and the spirit of the show?

If you've never watched the show, why do you care? If someone said "yes, the characters are faithful" you wouldn't know the difference anyway.

Urban is great, but he's just impersonating DeForest Kelly, he's not really bringing anything. Probably a smart thing to do considering the size of his role and what the others brought to the characters, which wasn't all that good.

>Chekov
I'm now also a vacant motherfucker who gargles sheep bollocks before speaking
>Sulu
I'm now more intense and concerned about being in control, which actually makes me less interesting, good job
>Scotty
I'm now a sociopathic egomaniac with a terribly fake comedy accent who does everything as fast and loud as possible
>Uhuru
I'm now almost an entirely different person, and that person is Modern Valley Girl in Space

I've convinced myself, Urban is the best one out of the supporting cast

karl is the best, his character is the most enjoyable

>Vacant

>Intense

>Fast and Loud

So... sounds about right for being the younger versions of these characters.

and this is why I hate faggots who even think JJ is fogiveable for his crappy nuTrek

He's gone now user, get ready for StarFastâ„¢

can't stand is politicing with star wars

Maybe that's why he asked? To find out?
