Even The Matrix which is about feeling out of touch with your surroundings, self-discovery and has anime-like, over-aesthetized action scenes - almost like something from a musical.
I think they are a decent director theme and you got to hand it to them for always taking chances, but honestly, I wish they were trying as hard as they were with Bound and The Matrix. Afterwards it seems like they are more concerned about having fun making the movie.
