hey, you watch anything good recently ?
How is Inherent Vice? Love Pynchon but I've been holding it off for a while.
good taste my man, have you seen el sur or sol del membrillo?
...
I'll watch them over the summer, I'm traveling to Spain and France so I'm going to use it as a good time to watch as many Spanish and French films while I can there to make it more fitting.
I've seen it 3 times now, it keeps getting better if anything. Tons of fun. It could come across as tedious, but based on your grid, I'd say it won't bother you.
I watched To The Wonder. I found it beautiful, but realized a couple hours after watching it that I had no idea what happened. My only qualm with it would be that it felt like Malick was uncomfortable with his own pacing, like it needed more time in the editing room. Usually his films have such a sense of ease, and all cuts are impeccable, but stuff such as the priest sections seemed incomplete and this "flow" that Malick usually has was missing to a degree.
Other than that, just some rewatches. I'm Still Here was still hilarious. I watched The Hunt but didn't care for it too much
good
i'd recommend garrel, jose lus guerin, marguerite duras, grillet, raul ruiz, rivette and saura if you haven't watched anything by them
>Forrest Gump
>Limitless
>Constantine
>Fight Club
What is the point of these
To share 3x3s
you prepared a watchlist or something like that ?
To have some fun. You get a chance to get recs and have film discussion, but in the process you get to pick 9 stills that not only look nice individually, but work together in a grid. These threads are always chill and making 3x3s is fun. Plus its a nice refuge from the rest of the board. Actual discussion is prone to take place here
I've got a sizeable backlog, basically what is on it is a lot of what recommends.
Memes coming through
Chloe Sevigny does things to me and I don't know why
Wolf Man is pretty patrician
How long have you been into film?
3 years or so
Have you ever considered branching out? Or perhaps you have but didn't care for it. Obviously those are all fine films, I'd say Inglourious Basterds is QT's best, and The Godfather is a classic, but they're all movies you see within like the first year of movie watching. What have you been watching all this time?
mostly tv series. justified, house of cards, the office. recommend me some good movies and i will watch them
Lol that's pretty vague. Kubrick, Bergman, Malick, all good starting places. Some of the more reknowned would be Tarkovsky, Fellini, and Kurosawa. That's a pretty diverse group, nothing obscure, but certainly stepping into the realm of film as art more than entertainment.
i've seen the shining and eyes wide shut
Better 3x3 than a lot of the ones that get posted desu
