Prefer the Prelude and Fugue on B-A-C-H but this ones pretty GOAT too
/classical/
Try quartets by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert
Any specifics? I tried Haydn earlier today, but it sounded too much like something of his I'd play on the piano.
I hate going out looking for a certain musical characteristic or feel beause I never find it right out.

Schubert no. 15
How can I go to the next level if I'm a pleb who only likes medieval music (e.g. Dufay, ars nova, ars subtilior), minimalism and the occasional impressionist or romantic piece when it comes to classical ?
I also don't get why Beethoven is always hailed as the greatest composer of all-time, and I'm not fond of the lack of emphasis on rhythm in music from the renaissance to the serialists, since the results often fails to grab my attention. How do I stop being such a "popularist" ?
If you have trouble concentrating, take up meditation.

But this is more like it
Do you play anything? Some stuff are easier to get if you play.
Like how playing Beethoven will force you to feel the emotions in his music in order to express it yourself.
