Wow

Wow.

Really makes you think

youre punching above your weight class, stick to capecucks

What does bone tomahawk have to do with warcraft?

Wow, videogame flicks are trash?

It was a bad movie, atleast until the end. But I think OP is trying to say RT isn't realiable at all.

This.

>I'm a salty bitch cuz muh vidya game movie sucks

>defending a shitty movie just because you feel like you have to because you wasted hours of your life playing a game

lmao Sup Forums btfo

Was Bone Tomahawk really that bad, though?

But it is reliable though.

It's a compilation of reviews and gives you a consensus.

And the consensus among critics is that warcraft is fucking shit.

could've been way better, the sets and acting were great but the pace isn't for everyone and turboplebs will say "nothing happens"

It's a solid 7/10 movie that is rather oddly praised as a 8 or 9.

I haven't seen Warcraft (I'm not a nerd lol) but Bone Tomahawk was really good

It was pretty good if you went in clean. The change in tone in the third act from a western to a monster movie is pretty unexpected.

It has an average rating of 7.1 in OPs picture.

The percentage is just how many critics think its a 6 or higher.

It was great actually.

Definitely recommend.

>bone tomahawk
>bad

I had no expectations for the movie, and its not great, but that score is a fucking joke, the movie is nowhere near as bad as the score makes it out to be. Upon actually reading the reviews they all tend to say "it was better than expected, but not amazing" and this constitutes a "rotten" score on RT because they didnt explicitly say "this movie is good go watch it" which is just fucking stupid. Id rate it realistically at about 40-50%, its got neat fight scenes and thats what you want in a videogame movie, the plot/narrative is just something to get you to the next fight here and is very basic and on the nose.
Also Bone Tomahawk was pretty good, dont know what youre getting at with that.

Can someone please tell me what was so good about Warcraft?

Gul dan and the murloc was the best parts

i've been disagreeing with the critics so much this past year so this must mean warcraft will be kino to me. Cant wait.

I love how retarded you guys are.

Why do people care about rotten tomatoes and not just go see the movies themselves and form their own opinion?

Warcraft is an awesome movie and I loved it. The only issue I can see with it is normies having trouble trying to grasp the plot because it's 2deep4u for them but it's literally just Orcs & Humans on the big screen.

its ok to be a contrarian when it comes to films with mixed reviews but not when one is almost unanimously panned

rule #1 of marketing your shit movie is not to insult potential consumers

well it is only 50 reviews for it so far and I've been hearing very good reviews from European critics so maybe its just the americans being contrarian.

I liked both.

i dont think thats true and i trust american critics more than european ones

LMAO

This. It's like most of the American critics bar pic related turned into some insufferable mix of SJW and normieshit both.

>tbqh i'm still salty about their #EgyptSoWhite shtick

What do you think the Warcraft RT score would have been if it's main character was a strong woman ?

can you tell me which of the negative reviews for the warcraft film from americans fit into these categories

can you tell me which of the reviews complained about the male characters

That's not the point.

whats the point then

It's a mediocre 6/10, but the reddit crowd loves Kurt Russell so much that they're blinded

Point is if you threw Jennifer Lawrence or Zoe Salanda in the main role you can bet your Jewish ass that Warcraft would be sitting at 65% right now

I haven't seen Warcraft and I plan on giving it a chance, but to be honest it looks like a bloated, cartoony CGI huge budget clusterfuck.

Bone Tomahawk is pretty great, especially for a lower budget production.

I see no reason why you should compare them, besides shitposting.

no it would still be garbage, can you show me any films that only have at least 65% from people solely based on the inclusion of a female lead

RT fresh/rotten ratings are pretty misunderstood. Fresh means they recommend you see it, rotten means they recommend you don't. A movie being 90% fresh doesn't mean it's considered a nearly flawless movie, just that most would say it's worth seeing. Conversely, a very low score means most are saying you shouldn't see it at all.

So Bone Tomahawk scoring high means it's probably worth watching. Warcraft scoring low means it's probably not worth watching. Both of these things make sense to me.

OP is a faggot.

Westerns get auto +20%

Video game gets auto -50%

It is known.

Pretty much yea. Its the default.

>Fresh means they recommend you see it, rotten means they recommend you don't
no it doesnt. there are a range of review types, some even have star ratings and its based on how much they rate the film, not whether they recommend you go see it

>hating kurt
Not even mad. Just dissapointed

>trusting RT after 12 Years a Slave
>trusting RT after Boyhood
>trusting RT after Selma
>trusting RT after Straight Outta Compton
>trusting RT after The Butler
>trusting RT after every Marvel movie
>trusting RT after Toy Story 3
>trusting RT after Inside Out
>trusting RT after Lone Ranger
>trusting RT after allowing every web-blogging "reviewer" shill to insert their own doctrine of what adheres to their own preconceptions of what formula works and everything else is trash
>trusting RT instead of finding a few reviewers who reflect your own personal taste or contrast it enough to make your own judgements based on theirs
>trusting an aggregate review website in the first place

>An original, low budget, performance driven festival film is comparable to an effects driven tentpole summer blockbuster based on a huge video game property.

I know this is a shitposting thread, but come on guys. This is obviously bait regardless of what your opinion on either film is.

>Id rate it realistically at about 40-50%
it has an average rating of 4.1

most of those films are good

>>trusting RT after 12 Years a Slave
>>trusting RT after Inside Out

These are good films on their own right

Uhm, the hunger games

Or, the force awakens

Look I'm not even going to waste my time. Reviews on RT have become nothing but a soap box for bloggers to clearly push an agenda. It might not even be their intention either, but the conditioning is complete and this is where we're at right now as a society

If I had a son and he said he was gay I'd understand. If he said he didn't like Kurt Russell I'd disown him.

>12 years a slave
>anything but torture porn
>Inside Out
>anything but formulaic trash and a wasted premise

>after Selma
Actually watch it. The movie doesn't shy away from King screwing around and some of the most sympathetic people in it are white.

It has its faults but it's a 6/10 at least.

Vidya movies are always garabage, accept it and move on.

Most of those are good though, but i will agree that they should take every dickhead with a youtube channels opinion as a review though, considering that 90% of the world is retarded when it comes to looking at movies.
>Boring as fuck story, the characters were lame, but that one fight scene was good. 9/10

blizzkeks are literally on suicide watch

>solely based on the inclusion of a female lead
where we are as a society is we get to shoot down stupid ideas from SJWs and people like you, and thats really great in my opinion

i dont think thats what he meant

Off topic, but I wish we got to see Nielsen play more villainous roles. He played great heroes in the '50s and great comedic roles in '80s. We could've done with seeing him in more things like Creepshow. Just saying.

Why are you faggots so obsessed with review scores? Are you really that desperate to have your opinion validated? If so, why don't you validate it by actually explaining why you like something, instead of pointing to someone else's opinion.

Why do I keep getting called a marketer for enjoying a movie? Why do you want the movie to be bad so much? Why is everyone always negative all the time now?

Back in the day when I used to visit different forums this was never the case but now if you go anywhere online and try to discuss something it's just shit on by everyone and most of the time it's by people who haven't even experience it, like people just go online and bitch about everything. What the fuck is wrong with you people?

Does Warcraft have a scene where a man gets stripped naked, scalped in gruesome detail, followed by being torn asunder from his asshole to his neck?

Checkmate, WoWfags

Yeah man, he was a great and it's a real shame he's gone.

When he died and I broke the news to some of my friends they all thought I was talking about Liam Neeson. Words cannot describe the white hot intensity of my disappointment in that moment.

Make 'em cry like a Warcraft fan on prom night.

No I'm not I enjoyed the movie a lot.

I don't hate Kurt at all, I think he's great. I just don't think he's enough to make a mediocre movie good

i don't want the movie to be bad, it just is.
im not negative all the time, i love bone tomahawk its a good film
"back in the day" you mean 2 years ago on a subreddit where everyone had the same opinion? what fantasy internet were you using where nobody said anything negative?

One movie is good, one movie is bad
what happens?

>But I think OP is trying to say RT isn't realiable at all.

But we already knew that, ever since BvS csme out

Can anyone give me a reason for why they didn't enjoy watching the Warcraft movie?

So far no one has actually given their own thought out opinion. Also didn't one of the reviewers say the movie is about blacks and trump or some shit? Why would you read that shit.

>Bone Tomahawk was a bad movie

go back to Sup Forums faggot, your shittaste doesn't belong here, clearly you have not the slightest idea what you're talking about

It's a dumb blockbuster flick

>I haven't seen the movie
>having no opinion

Yeah shut up.

Too many green guys. Too much war. Too much action magic.
Not enough progressive values.

2/10

My opinion is that it's a dumb flick akin to capeshit and not worth anyones time

>the entitled Warcraft shills strike again

Just fuck off already, you're all the cancer of this board, you stupid manchildren

>bone tomahawk is bad
>warcraft on the other hand, is good
Your pleb is showing.

again,

>has not seen the film
>cannot form a valid opinion

You can leave the thread user

>2040-24
>critics

I don't see you disagreeing with what I said. It's capeshit in disguise tbqh lad

Forget the plot and the fight scenes. How about actually make me give a shit about this bloated cast of D-tier actors.

There are way too many characters and they're only given enough screen time to be cliche archetypes. These actors were bland as fuck. They're given scenes to show some charisma and fail badly. They're all dressed and acting as though they are in someone's fan film. Their motivations and discoveries are random to the point where shit just happens with them off screen to keep the muddy plot moving.

Fight scenes don't mean a damn thing if I don't care about the people in them. I couldn't give a shit about any of these wooden characters.

The whole "not that bad" argument is stupid. Stop settling for shit. Demand better.

>has seen the film and still wont explain how its good
go ahead, ill be checking your work for marketing buzzwords

Because I'm not an edgy 15 year old so you can say capeshit all you want like those movies are bad (they aren't) and the movies pace is nowhere near like "capeshit", it's more akin to LotR, Narnia, HP

I know Blizzard lore and if you know it too my fellow nerds you should know that this movie is shit, average fan thinks that Guldan and Lothar are main characters boy they are up for a ride when they die in second movie if second movie happens

Why movie is shit and why critics hate it easy! They didnt said Sargeras possesed Medvih and Guldan and use them as pawns to weaken defenses of Azeroth with orcs and prepare a pathway for invasion of burning legion, average joe viewers dont know this too, story is gimped and movie is a flop, deal with it!

It looked like embarrassing garbage for manchildren and I'm absolutely not surprised by that score

hahaha

Actually the actors are probably my favorite part. Just like you said the movie is full of nobodies which really made me go "well fuck I have no way to gauge this now" but they all blew me away (the humans and garona at least) Lothar is awesome as fug, Khadgar is great comic relief. garona makes me wiener tingle, and the king is all dumb and kingy but really cool at the end, also Medivh is fuckin tight.

Capeshit is terrible. LoTR should not be put in the same category as shit films like Narnia. You have terrible taste. It's no surprise that you're defending a shitty flick

I mean it all makes sense. lorewise the only thing that bothers me is that Lothar didn't behead Medivh but they do make a nod to it by him beheading the Golem if you didn't notice.

Most of that stuff you're complaining about is still a big part of warcraft 2 so I'm assuming they are saving all that for that movie and/or it's part of the (what is it like 40 minutes?) that were cut for theatrical release as normies don't care about that much information.

You're gonna shit on the Narnia films which were tight as fug? How edgy are you? Also I don't have shit tastes because instead of just shitting on everything I actually go see the movies and form my own opinion on them you should try it.

Why would you even know what to check for? Like do you work in marketing? If not why are you spending free time on learning shit about it? What spectrum of autism are you?

whats good about the film?

Can you stop using the word edgy? It makes you sound like you came straight from Sup Forums and it's an admission that you have no idea what to say. I've formed my own opinion on capeshit. It's trash. So are most blockbusters that are made solely for box office revenue, and you can spot them from a mile away. I don't shit on everything, I just shit on dumb flicks like Warcraft and capeshit, because they deserve it. They are a cancer on the art of film.

>Bone Tomahawk was a bad movie
Spotted reddit

Well if you cut a movie to the point where it makes no sense for normal viewer just to keep subplot with Garona + Lothar hidden romance(that doesnt happen in lore, Medivh is father of Garonas child in lore), you deserve negative critics in my opinion.

It was actually very good 8/10 reddit dislikes it though because they have the attention span of flies

Kill yourself, Sup Forumsermin. Bone Tomahawk is great, Warcraft is trash.

SPOILERS
Literally the first 10 minutes give you an orc and human charging at each other and a fucking beautiful landscape known as Ironforge where Lothar is handed a boomstick and some comedic relief ensues (he points it as his face trying to figure out what it is). Then you get to see the orcs going through the dark portal essentially where you see Gul'dan, Garona, Doomhammer, Durotan, etc. the multiple clans have all showed up and it's really sweet and all the shitty ass Draeni are strapped to the portal and they kill them all to power the portal with the fel magic. Then once through the portal you get a still birth of Thrall who then becomes alive from the fel magic being torn from a Deer all pretty cool stuff. Jumping ahead, the introduction of Khadgar is funny and the first thing they do is show a corpse with the affects of the fel and I'm honestly really glad they don't hold back on how the soul leeched bodies look in the film it's some pretty horrific stuff. Then you get to see Karazahn which is awesome. They go into a forest and have a fucking awesome battle with some orcs that's brutal as fuck with the way they kill each other like this movie isn't fucking bullshit kills like LotR they show heads getting smashed into juice and beheadings etc. it's awesome as fuck. then medivh is like "look how powerful I am" and kills like 10 orcs at once with a spell while khadgar has them shielded and then they have a direwolf chase thats sweet as fuck. The griffins are awesome especially at the end when Lothars griffin is taking out horde troops. I really just like the story pace I was never bored and the movie is very true to Orcs and Humans. The end battle is epic, the ambush battle in the middle of the movie is awesome, dalaran is awesome, actually all the locations are done awesomely I fucking wanted to see more azeroth and I really liked how medivh had the demon form at the very end when khadgar kills him. Blood elves were cool looking.

Critics are retarded shit made for people who can't even make their own opinion

>good movie received critical acclaim
>shit movie got panned
I don't see the problem, OP. Anyway, why the fuck are you comparing a slow paced western horror film to a CGI filled fantasy blockbuster?

And the dwarves look exactly like the guy in the WoW cinematic with the bear they are sweet. They show the middle of Stormwind and it looks pretty sweet as they leave and Varian is just a little baby bitch still as his dad is on his way to get killed by garona.

When durotan and gul'dan fight it's really cool although I wished they showed for doomhammer fighting/smashing and probably more but I'm at work so I can't think of more at the moment. I'm seeing the premiere again on thursday after the early screening so I'll be able to recap better after that as well.
