First for Mad Max: Fury Road is one of the greatest actions films ever made, and among the top of the current decade
Such a spectacular cinematic experience
stick to nolan and game of thrones, cinema aint for you
Don't suppose anyone's seen any of the works of Tom Doganoglu? May have to watch one of those tonight.
There are literally thousands of films worth watching and you embryos choose Fury Road as your Little Bighorn
Mad Max signals the utter capitulation to mediocrity in the formerly esteemed and standard-bearing critical world.
When populist ideology concurrently agrees with specialized critique, it is the failing of one that homogeneity dictates the quality of art. Since populist ideology is monolith and glacial, that failings logically falls on specialized critique that the definition of art is now realized by those with no understanding of its meaning. I don't know why the critical community failed so spectacularly to prevent populism from defining artistic merit (which they have for thousands of years), but they did, and we can all only mourn the loss of integrity and direction in the positive evolution of beauty and goodness.
really makes u think
>Fury Road is one of the greatest actions films ever made
It's funny when none of the people who defend it as a good action film either never post their profile or if they post, they barely watch any action at all.
Nobody is making it their last stand. Nor the defense of the film against shitposters imply the non-watching or disinterest to the thousands upon thousands that are out there
No one "chose" anything. people are just being retarded in trying to numb its considerable and obvious accomplishments.
but hey I guess everyone can't have good taste.
Is it really him?
Fury Road is objectively pure cinema
Why is it funny?
Shows their ignorance when they try to defend it.
>things can't be good if they're populist
there, summed up that inane and idiotic argument in one sentence.
Too true. Cinema in general should be more like it
>never post their profile
you first :)
Sup homies
Think i'll finish The Silence trilogy today.

From the youtube clips the red queen kills seven times looks super shitty. Like no style whatsoever.
hi slept
see
no! wahoo!!!!!!!!!
I really don't get on with gothic horror, I consistently find them boring. Red queen was alright, watched the arrow blu, but nothing special as an Italian genre film
the ending killed me man
what did you think of stalker?
All of Tark's films would improve without the dialogue. Maybe something gets ruined in the translation to English subtitles, but they're so awful half-assed philosophizing.
I was completely absorbed by it, it felt like a 10 hour movie (but in a good way?)
I'd obviously be lying if I claimed to ""understand"" it, but it's clearly this ambitious, meticulous film by a master of the craft, hard not to admire it.
Like imagine even going about trying to finance something like that. It's a shame the restoration isn't as good as you'd hope, but it's an upgrade on DVD and I'm glad I waited and saw it on the big screen and with proper speakers, absolutely the right way to watch something like that
>I claimed to ""understand"" it,
are u insinuating that it was a complex or deep film?
well fuck user. You should've held off another couple of weeks. "Remastered" Stalker just got released on VOD & Bluray.
My friend made a comment almost exactly this when we left, like he wasn't sure if it was the translation but a lot of the dialogue didn't actually make that much sense
I don't think I agree though.
Yes I am implying that, this will be my only response because the tarkovsky is bad argument is boring, neither side (me included) will be able to substantiate what we're saying and its pointless (also I'll be going to sleep)
it was the remaster that I watched
o shit here we go
Depth of a film has nothing to do with the quality of the film. It's just not a complex film.
the facts are in lmao
machill an idiot
>ohh le rational man is le doubting
>ohh le guardian is le *idgaf*
>Oh nature is bjuutiful
>man is so cruel and destructive
wow
fuckign WOW
deep as a puddle
great criticism there, user. you could really fill a 500 word review with those memes.
It's not criticism, it's the actual depth of STALKER. Saying blue is blue isn't criticism dear retardlord
Ozu's failure as an artist is a reflection of the Japanese people as a collective lacking empathy and conception of the numinous. His films lack 'that spark of emotive connection' because his people lack the internal awareness and emotional volatility that permit European art to communicate on a more profound and abstract level, just as they lack the ability to relativise their experience of reality. The results – as women are incapable of making art about anything other than their vaginas, so too are the Japs incapable of making art about anything other than being Japs.
>says Stalker, crticially analysed for decades, isn't deep
>offers surface level non-criticism delivered by memespeak
really making a good case for yourself there, microdick.
>He reads Letterboxd "reviews"
Well you really brought out how deep it is with your condescending moral high ground comment!
They sound similar, but uses American English and the other one uses British English (and better written)
Nice try tho
normie incoming
well that's a redundant way of saying "no you!"
just because you can't engage with art like an adult doesn't mean it's bad.
