Rate me you losers, you can't afford blue ray

>ib4 Deadpool is Reddit
>revanent is pretentious
>wannabe Japanese person

I've heard it before

i can't imagine being this insecure

Not yify, pleb.

youur taste is decent, however, very "i've recently gotten in to film as a hobby" - esq. I can easly tell that you've only been watching "kino" (as you fags call it) for 2-3 years. Hopefully, if you develop right, your taste will be much more interesting in a couple of years.

weeaboo

3/6

>plastic

>buying movies

>for 2-3 years
more like for 2-3 months, man's got the most basic taste

>not 4K HDR

what a pleb

>If I inb4 it it isn't true

3/6

Ran and Rashomon are crap. Haven't seen the last Chinese one.

You're "inb4" everything, you silly twat; you posted the thread.

>George Lucas and Francis For Coppola present a film by Akira Kurosawa

What did they mean by this?

this is bait

Producers.

Maybe, but most people use a while to take the leap to more interesting movies. If i had to guess OP is about 19, watched pulp fiction when he was 16 and samurais at like 17. At 17-18he started working his way thorugh the plebiest (not necessarily bad ofc) truekinos from top imdb and 1001 and such (12 angry men, hithcock, citizen kane etc) and at the same time checking out more kurosawa. Probably hasn't seen a single movie of any other japanese director. Maybe he have checked out some godard because of tarantino.

>paying for shitty movies you watched in movie theaters
>paying for shitty movies you can get on torrent trackers

I don't undertand millenials

>Kagemusha
Haven't seen
>The Hateful Eight
5.5/10, certainly not worth a blu-ray buy
>the Revenant
6.5/10, not worth a blu-ray buy
>Deadpool
3.5/10, not even worth seeing
>Rashomon
9/10, and I'm sure the BFI put out a quality product.
>Ran
9/10, looks like a decent copy but I would check Criterion and other publishers before purchasing

Overall, mediocre job.

that eye colors looks like my morning diarrhea

>Kagemusha
Haven't seen
>The Hateful Eight
8/10
>The Revenant
7/10
>Deadpool
7/10
>Rashomon
5/10
>Ran
4/10

They were great admirers of Kurosawa's work and they put their money in to help him finish Kagemusha when original funding fell short.

>capeshit and Kurosawa

This just screams 18 year old Redditor.

6.5/10 - Deadpool and Hateful Eight bring you down a bit.

How about rating me too senpai.

>>Rashomon
>5/10
>>Ran
>4/10
Wut?

>>The Hateful Eight
>8/10

There's something about Japanese movies that just doesn't work for me.

good ratings
Katemusha is 8/10

What else comes in that big box Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy? That looks interesting.

>Lady Snowblood

Noice, Meiko Kaji a best.

It's a pretty sweet collectors edition. And I got it cheap from Zavvi at around $14.

My copy of the 75th anniversary of Citizen Kane, and a steelbook of The Evil Dead (original) arrived. Pretty great.

Got my steelbook from Zavvi. Probably my favourite online retailer for special edition stuff.
Fuckin' love 'em.

is that Hitchcock boxset worth getting?

Yeah, if you like Hitchcock it's an easy way to get a lot of his movies for a good price. But don't buy the US release. The UK set is the same (only missing North by Northwest) and much cheaper.

I'm in the UK, so that works out

That's pretty awesome. I don't buy many blu-rays but I kind of want that.

OP can't inb4.

Deadpool is reddit. Hateful Eight sucked. And revenant was oscar bait. blow me

Ah, a fellow redditor I see. You get all your recommendations from r/movies too?

Nice collection. It's sad the only horror is Babadook....

>inb4 Jaws

xD so fahnny

>no UHD Blu Ray
Someone's a poor fag
