>be Panamanian
>can't travel across your country in car because of some god-forsaken chunk of jungle your government can't put a fucking road into even during 2017

Why would I want to visit a brown shithole when I already have to live in one?

>min 10:18 cheap hotel
>min 12:11 beer

That is quite not accurate.
t-thanks

>That is quite not accurate.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darién_Gap
>Roadbuilding through this area is expensive, and the environmental cost is high. Political consensus in favor of road construction has not emerged. Consequently there is no road connection through the Darién Gap connecting North America with South America and it is the missing link of the Pan-American Highway.
REALLY MAKES YOU THINK

What for?

>can't travel across your country in car
No one goes there. And it would not be accrose because it is in the border with Colombia. The only reason some one would cross it is to escape Colombia and get into Panamá.

Talking about not been able to cross the country in car, thosen't that reminds you of Perú?

>Nice weather
>World class beaches
>Decent infrastructure
>Shopping destination
>You might like the culture(food, music, architecture, history)

Why are you angry?

What's the absolute best of culture I'd be able to see/get in Panama?

I guess it depends on what you like. I am obviously bias, but personally I find Panamanian history to be quite facinating. Some of our art(Roberto Lewis) and literature(El ahogado from Tristan Solarte, Vida que olvida from Justo Arroyo) is pretty good . But I absolutely love our music.

I am not very much into it, but as far as I know, foreigners tend to like our traditional food a lot.

Sometimes we need to lower the mast because it may hit the bridge coming in and out of Balboa.

Bridge of the americas

...

Oh, I see. As far as I know, there are plans to replace it with a taller one. I did not know that it was already a source of concern.

Sorry, mi amigo. I could've posted some OC photos, but I am too lazy to go on my PC and get them.

Oh really?
And yeah, it's kinda messy when we lower our mast. Like some of the electronics (GPS /DGPS, AIS) sometimes fucks up. That is, until we raise it up again when we pass Flamenco Island.

Well at least they extended the panama canal recently with the wider one. Ships are maxing out the capacity and the new designs prove that. (Google neo-panamax). Lowering the mast will be regular now.

The most important part and the one that produces almost all of the GDP is the interoceanic region (Around the canal):
>Provinces of Panamá, Colón, and Panamá Oeste.
>The canal.
>Logistic hub (Ports in both oceans, Train that connects both ports, Highway that connects both oceans)
>Hub de las Americas (Aeropuerto de Tocument, home of Copa Airlines)
>Financial services (Financial center with more than 90 banks)
>Only mayor city in the country (Ciudad de Panamá)
>More than half of the population lives here.

Coclé:
>Cool province with somewhat mountainous regions and nice beaches.
>Penonomé is the capital of the province with somewhat cool weather.
>Antón is near the beaches. The Valle de Antón is a small town with a mountainous weather.
>Natá and Aguadulce are other important towns in the province.

Azuero:
>Provinces of Herrera and Los Santos are the more Hispanic with a population of mainly European ancestry.
>The economy here is based on livestock.
>Even thought, with the exception of a few towns, life is rural; standards of living are pretty high here.
>Chitré, capital of Herrera, is the biggest city in Azuero.
>La Villa de Los Santos is small town in Los Santos with great historical importance.
>Las Tablas, capital of Los Santos.
>Pedasí is a very touristic town with beautiful beaches.
>Guararé is another interesting town in Los Santos.

>Latin American country have slum

One of my old coworkers was from Panama. He was a swell lad. Hopefully he wont have to go back.

Veraguas:
>Only province with two oceans.
>They have mountainous regions.
>They have a lot of livestock going on here.
>It´s capital and largest town is Santiago.
>Second largest town is Soná
>San Francisco de la Montaña is a small town in mountainous Veraguas, with a beautiful baroque church.

Chiriquí:
>Best highlands in the country.
>David, the capital, is one of the biggest towns outside the interoceanic region.
>Some mountain towns include Boquete, Cerro Punta, and Volcán
>They used to have a railroad network, but not anymore.

Boca del Toro:
>They have some of the best beaches.
>Beautiful islands. 10/10 must visit.
>Also used to have a railroad network, but not anymore.

Darien and the comarcas:
>Don not go in here.
>Except for Kuna Yala. The beaches are worth it.

>panama shouldn't be held up to standards due to its location

Well, in my defence. Our slums are way better than your average Latin slum.
