Literally African tier

WTF i hate Australia now
reminder france is the globally recognised nuclear powerhouse
good thread
Why don't they though?
It'd even be safe since it's so sparsely populated.
too hot?
Australians are not very bright people
Reminder to Aussies that you need to put on your flappy hat before posting ITT
they still use coal lmao
>coal
is this 85% of the power of australia?
(hint: yea)
>bloody ell bruce i just found these rocks in the floor you can burn

enjoy your very own fukushima.

Given the current situation of Areva and the problems of EDF to take a real lead on that matter I'm not sure that will last.

wondering what shenanigans you'll play this time to abduct our scientists.
Coal continent
Yes.
Probably a jealous finn who whined to aa fellow slanty-eyed m00t.
:( sorry for your loss swedefinn xx
didn't say it was high tech, its just the greenest energy production that doesn't rely on the weather
Thank you for your support in these harsh times :( xoxo
>coal
>rocks
absolute state of you
how did you get that flag?
fuck you snowflake
>Implying nuclear power plant is good thing
I don't think they need it considering its sunny most of the time they can just install solar panels. and get more energy than any of nuclear reactor.
>this thread
f-fuckoff ya cunts!
Lotta loyalty for a hired post!
alright cunts settle down
we don't have them because they get killed off every time, for three main reasons:
There is no industry for it, someone has to want to build that up to get it going and want to actually use them (we don't need them, so it means abandoning present power production in favour of something initially more costly and which has stigma attached to it).
Anti-nuclear (both power and weapons) lobbying is very strong here. We're part of several pacts to not have nukes and the sentiment extends to nuclear power.
Coal is dominant and essentially feasibly unlimited. Our population is small and we over-produce electricity already. Coal is abundant and it's not really going to run out, maybe in 3 thousand years at the current rate. In addition the mining industry and energy industry doesn't want strong alternatives to coal, for obvious reasons.
Anyway, we really don't need nuclear power plants at all. We have an entire country which is perfect for filling with renewable sources. Which is what is slowly happening. That combined with coal means there is no incentive at all for power plants.
Nice damage control Bruce
