Your head if full of shit. A country can allow civil liberties and not fall apart, it would just take management. Russia isn't holding lands by force alone, it's well known we're top immigrant destination for most of our neighbors including Georgia. Because as poor as Russia is right now, it has stuff to offer, most certainly to places that might break away like Chechnya.

We're not forcing Georgians to move to Russia yet they do. There must be something to it. Sure it's a long step from immigration to willingness to be part of Russia, but so is willingness to break away from it and loose all the perks.
