He's scared shitless right now. he's already starting to lean towards more conservative policy. could just be paying lip service, but he knows there are enough people out there that don't like him, that he could be gone next election if he keeps pandering to the left.

What a shitshow of a national leader, canada you really are the worst

Don't believe his lies. I did last election, I was warned against trusting Liberals, and I thought he was going to be different.

Never again in my life will I vote Liberal.

He was always a centrist with a public persona as a lefty.

Would an actual leftie approve an oil pipeline?

The man known as "Justin Trudeau" is not what you see on the surface

Really makes you think

>Sup Forums all complain about the somali guy
>he's actually a centrist

I voted Harper based on Foreign policy. Thought Trudeau was going to muck things up, but the way things are going, he's done/going to do some pretty decent things on the defence front.

>buzzwords

> tfw you are unironically classified as a psychopath

>mfw I fit every mark in facet 3

Do you like huey lewis and the news?

Trudeau always came to me as extremely fake, opportunistic and shallow, if he doesn't fit in the dark triad is because he doesn't seem to have that more antisocial and violent trait, he could be just hiding it anyway. He never seems to be genuine but at the same time he has that kind of "fake spontaneity" very similar in a way to the Tom Cruise one. In any case, he doesn't come across as a trustworthy person.

The 2015 election was an absolute shitshow. There was no winning move. We had to choose between:
>cuckservative who completely fucked the economy and doesn't care about human rights
>DUDE WEED LMAO
>an actual communist
What did they expect to happen?

Trudeau is pragmatic. All the dancing around with refugees in gay pride parades was just to keep the dumb liberals distracted and happy because he has never intended to legalize weed, enact electoral reform, or any of the dumb shit that lefties wanted him to do because they'd be disasterous for the country.

Obama did the same thing.

Close, but he'll push hard for the dude weed when his poll numbers start flagging

This is why you don't elect the sons of prominant politicians.

4D chess

Oh he's well beyond that

>an actual communist
Was Mulcair really that bad?

yes, yes he was.

If he doesn't legalize weed he's out, end of story. He can't back down on that. Wouldn't be surprised if he's holding that in his pocket as his ace.

that's just called being a NEET

>tfw I arrived in Canada 6 weeks ago and the only politician I know is weedman

The entirety of the NDP has went off the deep end since Layton died

Could any Canadanon give me a quick rundown on Canadian politics ?

Bunch of idiots

All of them

Liberals, Conservatives, NDP

All a bunch of idiots

Interesting, it's just like France, I guess I won't feel homesick.
Except the gay globalist fuckboy is not yet elected here.

if only our country were as well ordered as guatemala

True, The weed thing gives him political leverage, but he'd probably just do the same thing Obama did with the ACA and intentionally set it up to fail so it can be easily repealed later.

Everybody is curious as to what the long and short term effects of legal weed would do to society, so Colorado and Washington are basically cautious experiments. Colorado is particularly useful because it's pretty politically neutral, healthy, and decently prosperous already.

The main downside so far is that it's been a magnet for attracting shitty people to the state. The long term effects probably won't be apparent for at least a decade though.

I don't know why Canadians insist on pretending like their politics actually matter.

Canada literally just follows the US in whatever political direction it's headed except it lags behind by a few years. You are intrinsically attached to us because if we go down, you're screwed too.

Seats, first past the post, MPs, and stuff.
Former Progressive Conservative party (right wing) leader Stephen Harper has been our PM for a long time but was replaced by Weedman (liberal, but you already knew that) during the 2015 election. There's also the New Dempocratic Party (socialism) that has never won but seemed to be doing okay at one point. Green Party is considered one of the big four too, though I don't know why. I care about the environment, but their leader, Elizabeth May, is retarded. I saw her up close at a historic site thing.

You mean the long term effect of not wasting money on weed and focusing it on important shit like opiates and ecstasy? The war on weed is an affront to basic freedom and civil liberties. The only way you can say weed should be illegal is if you hate freedom.

Hahaha this is what americans actually believe.

It's our country, of course it matters to us.

gonna need a quick rundown on this handsome, muscular specimen

Canada is a US state, except you don't actually get to vote. In that sense, you have less direct influence in how your country is run than Wyoming does.

Canada and the US are inevitable partners because it's required for the prosperous existence of us both. There is no other option we can pursue but peacefully conspiring together with slight autonomy, or having one aggressively annexing the other.

...

the liberals are the centre party, nobody doubted that ge would act like this
though every canadian on here is from Sup Forums and they can't seem to think straight
