The deluxe versions of the first 3 Who albums have GOAT bonus tracks.
but it's unaesthetic
>japan edition tracks
>they actually better than album itself
>bonus tracks
>more like bogus tacks
>bonus track
>its a shittier version of an existing track
Why are so many special editions japanese
Are record label executives weebs or something
something about cds costing more in japan so they put more tracks on to justify the price.
or something to that effect.
I make the joke of my life and spell it wrong. End my life.
>ATDI - Catacombs, Extracurricular
>ETID - Goddamn Kids These Days, Business Casualty, Saturnalia, Nothing Visible

>Hidden tracks
>bonus track
>at the start of the album
I don't get the hate against bonus tracks. Some of them are good, some of them are dull or even plain bad. You don't have to listen to them, just stop the album at the end of it, if you don't want to.
>B-side is better than anything on the album
>its not included on the album
i think of bonus tracks as excess baggage and religiously avoid them
>album reissue
>bonus tracks are the b-sides of the singles
>reissue replaces one of the tracks with an alternate version without indication
>the music video version of the single is better and it's not included in the album
Yeah it's because imports CDs are usually cheaper than CDs sold in Japan, so they add bonus tracks to persuade buyers to buy native.
hmm never thought of it that way
The best
>original version is now a bonus track
I... I guess this is ok...
>reissue has a shorter edited version of a song
>reissue has a shorter edited version of a song just to make space for bonus content
>(digital only)
>reissue of a double album
>omit a few songs to fit in a single cd
>expanded and remastered live album
>all long solos and intros that were cut for space are added back in
>1 song has intro cut out from original version
>album comes out with 2 different masterings on release day
don't beat yourself up, it was a good joke
In these threads, I really wish that anons who make extremely specific complaints would post the cover of the album in question instead of a reaction pic
Bonus tracks ranking:
>good
B-sides of the singles
EPs or singles of the same era
>ok
live versions
remixes
>ugh
demo versions
scraps from the same recording sessions
interactive/multimedia content (just add a bonus dvd if you have to)
happy?
some demo versions are better than the original. dont be a fag.
>some demo versions are better than the original
very few, actually.
I was generally speaking, obviously the argument may not be universally valid.
Like, there are bands that have great b-sides, while other ones have shitty b-sides, bands that have recorded live versions better than the studio versions, etc.
>it's the best song on the album
youtube.com
>bonus tracks span from band's 60s psychedelic pop to late 70s disco
>the bonus track is the best song on the album.
>live version opens a studio album
>studio version is a bonus track
