But 90% of people with upper-middle and high end CPU's use them for gaming, and in gaming you will be better of with a 7700K.
Ryzen is very competitive for professional users and people that need multiple cores, but not so competitive in gaming.

But hey, at least Jewintel will drop their prices including on the 7700K that is the one that i'm looking to buy.
