Congratulations!

Congratulations!

you have been hired to write and direct the upcoming live adaption of Clifford the big red dog.

What do you do to ensure the film is a success?

Turn it into a horror movie where a giant dog terrorizes the city eating everyone.

Omaha Beach landing scene staring Clifford

A cameo role by Aidan Gillen playing a police officer.
Gillen: You're a big dog
Clifford: Ruff Roo

cater to the chinese

Kaiju movie

Motherfucker is 300 feet tall

kek

He's not even big, they just draw him closer to the page

>Movie ends in a feast for the entire neighborhood

Brilliant

Make sure people of color are the only included characters on screen. Change Clifford to a giant red bird that won't offend neither Asians nor Muslims.

Well, naturally, a big red dog is too difficult a concept to grasp for audiences/is too childish a concept for audience to like, so:
-Make Clifford no bigger than ten feet
-Use a dark shade of red
-Don't have Clifford be big and red for more than five minutes of screentime
-Focus mostly on the the family drama that Clifford is hanging around
-Include a subplot about the difficult transitioning Cliffords owner's older brother is going through from man to woman

Find a way to implement him into the King Kong/ Godzilla cinematic universe.

Gritty reboot.

Emily Elizabeth is a deeply unhappy child. She is picked on at school, teachers show her zero sympathy, her neighbor is aggressive towards her and eyes her with ill intent She is constantly sexually abused by her father and her mother blames the abuse on her, thinking she is a cock-tease that purposely seduces her father.

Things come to a head when she harassed by her adolescent neighbor, he abducts her as she walks home from school forces himself on her and when he is done he pulls out a knife and holds it to her throat. She shuts her eyes, wishing for this to end when she hears the blood curdling screams of her neighbor as a large red dog rips him to bits as he draws his final breath, the large dog turns towards Emily Elizabeth and promptly disappears. Shaken by her experience, Emily Elizabeth runs home.

The next day at school, a gang of girls start picking on Emily Elizabeth, going as far as to chase her through the school, the girls corner her in a dark corridor, before they can lay a finger on her, the large dog appears once again, even larger than before and claims another victim, again acknowledging Emily Elizabeth before disappearing.

In time Emily Elizabeth learns to conjur the large dog at will, she names him clifford and uses him to seek revenge on everyone that wrongs her. In time clifford towers over everything, gaining power from those he kills.

The time comes for Emily Elizabeth to eliminate those who harmed her the most. Her parents.
She actively provokes her father into engaging with rough sex with her, moaning loud enough for her mother to hear. This drives her mother over the edge, she grabs a knife from the kitchen and heads upstairs. As a lighting storm rages overhead, cliffords eye appears at the window and Emily Elizabeth's mother enters the room, swing the blade at her husband, who tries to subdue her. As this goes on, Clifford tears the roof from the house and Emily Elizabeth's parents cower in fear as the gigantic dog swallows them whole.

The film ends with Emily Elizabeth walking down storm damaged road as the sun rises, casting an image of Clifford in her shadow.

Peanut butter and filming it in Canada won't hurt.

We change it to CliffyD and the Big Black Dawg to cater to the 'urban' demographic

Why would government let a mutant dog roam around free

Make the girl have a bestiality fetish

Just turn it into the next Iron Giant.

Deconstruction of the children's book genre.

Directed by Zack Snyder

A grimdark reboot set in 2005 Brooklyn New York, as Clifford grows up and sees the burden placed on his shoulders, emotionally and physically, as being the Big Red Dog of Brooklyn.
