has anyone here actually seen it? My mom wants to go see it and I don't want to leave her hanging. Everyone I know (including myself) has wanted to hate it since the day it was announced, but that just makes me realize that I can't really trust any reviews from either audiences or critics due to the controversy around the whole thing.
I hardly even remember the original ghostbusters movies (it's been so long since I've seen them), and I have very low expectations for this flick. I'm really not a fan of women in comedy, but I am also not really that angry at the movie just for existing so I feel like I can watch it with an open mind.
So is it possible for me to enjoy this movie if I come in with low expectations? Or is it really objectively that bad?

It's a 3/5 film. It follows a typical summer movie formula. I went in hoping it didn't suck but it made me laugh more than a few times. If you and your mom liked Spy, you should be okay.

As always, both Sup Forums and tumblr were wrong. It wasn't very funny but it wasn't abysmally bad, what surprised me was there actually wasn't much anti-male stuff, aside from le dumb secretary (which was just as much a jab at women being lead by their vaginas) and shooting the marshmallow man in the junk. McKinnon and Helmsworth were occasionally funny but overall it was a waste of time and didn't deserve Sup Forums's attention.
