on the plus side though, in the movie it wasn't made a big deal out of at all, there was not big reveal scene or anything, so it didn't come off as a shitty waay to include diversity for the sake of popularity or press or what have you. its literally just implied in a 3-4 second shot. Its not intrusive to the story and its not out of place. I don't agree with their decision to change that about the character but at least they did it in a good way.

Maybe but that's because they are cheap to make and if the fans don't like a particular run they just wait for the next one. You obviously can't do that with movies. Besides, he fucked up big time. He made Superman a "dark hero." Superman is not Batman. The fact that he's almost the exact opposite of Batman is what makes their dynamic so great. He wanted to make two dark heroes because he's a hack and he doesn't know how to make anything other than that.
