Yoda vs Dooku
thats one of if not the best OP
youtube.com
sorry for the shit aspect ratio its better watched in full quality
youtube.com
Come on, it's obvious
oh my.... they actually did it. They actually did the "wide shot run at each other and swing" cliche.
I couldn't watch anymore, I don't want to know what happens after, I closed the video. Hold me someone.
A classic
youtube.com
Only answer.
...
I honestly hate epics, but fight is badass
Easily better than all the other garbage in this thread. Good pick.
let's have some wuxia in here
this is one of the shittiest things I have ever seen, glad I never watched past the third HP movie
Glad you didnt read my warning nor have the capacity to understand any scene can look shitty when you havent watched the entire film let alone the 10 minutes than build up to it
the fourth was shitty. this one, the fifth was much better. the sixth seventh and eighth were all great
tldr you have no opinion and i said it looked like shit because its aspect ratio is cut. also the ending was sweet.
>judging a shitty youtube video
more segal
The quality of the video isnt the issue, retards. I might as well be watching dragonball z. They represent the magic of the books horribly.
youtube.com
this is bretty nice
then again the whole movie is full of godtier duels (in comparison to shitty western cinema)
some Van Damme to change it up
youtube.com
>books
faggot alert
watch the movie and then judge it. thats the only battle like that in the series
Seeing a young Tommy Lee Jones is kind of a mindfuck
>hes one of those guys
The films were really good besides goblet of fire
I bet you fuckbois like game of thrones and walking dead as well dont you
fucking plebs
for pure eyegasms, the colourschemes
no i dont stop generalizing i hate those. how about you quit being a buzzword throwing memester and watch something before having an opinion
another classic one. keep forgetting that trilogy had epic shit.
more vandamme
youtube.com
the dorks who like harry potter are the ones who like got and walking dead
can confirm, definitely the case over here.
they also like TBBT for some reaqson.
No they arent because i actively despise those. we arent talking about fans of the books and comics and everything..this is a film and television board. So im judging only the films and the shows. The films were good. Except goblet. The walking dead and game of thrones are garbage as to be expected with the state of television, but even without that they are overrated and worthless with no inspiration put into them
youtube.com
I don't know if it's the best but whatever.
Wrong
see
and stop generalizing, I hate that shit but the potter movies are good.
The Princess Bride. Errol Flynn in general.
The other 1v1 from this movie is awesome too
Those faggots only like the first two HP films
youtube.com
La Reine Margot, Queen Margot 1994
Catholics massacring protestants/reformed on Saint Bartolomews Day; the actual one-on-one duel starts at 11 min or so.
but if you want to see what leads to it, watch the entire clip. or better yet the entire movie.
finally...a true patrician !
This entire film
came here to post this
youtube.com
technically not 1 v 1 but still great
This is a good one. Not that well-known.
no one has mentioned Raid 1 + 2 yet?
youtube.com
the plots of both movies are more or less, action + kill + action
Never saw the movie but it was from some 90s movie trailer
Two guys clearly exhausted from a long fight
One guy punches the other saying "now we're even!"
And the other guy punches him back saying "no, NOW we're even!"
I loved it because it perfectly captured how animosity can continue forever unless one side finally apologizes
Wish I got the name
Someone pls help
I love that fight. The camera position, the light contrasts. Plus there is actual emotion.
Not the scene it self, but Luke has. He's not graceful in his saber moves, they are raw, unpredictable, filled with rage and anger. Succumbing to the dark side.
Get chills every single time I watch it.
>have the theatrical release remastered by a fan
so good
A brilliant scene that is made all the tenser by the fact you know Hector will fall.
I always loved the music that accompanies it.
I actually like this, it shows HP magic is actually a force when used by two masters
youtube.com
My favorite because it's short and more realistic. It doesn't feel like a sword-ballet.
are you telling me that my subjective experiences of knowing several dozen people in real life who profess to like all those things I mentioned are "wrong"?
they like anything Potter. And a lot of them really like the third one for some reason.
I can only enjoy fight-scenes, where fighters are realistically physically and mentally exhausted as the fight goes on. No fight is neat. This one fight in Vikings got it right (forget the queen parts). Suggestions for more?
Not 1v1 but this:
Chink cartoon kino
Because The Raid only has one 1-1 duel and it was okay.
im telling you youre a faggot if you have an opinion without watching them. i hate game of thrones and the walking dead. harry potter is really good besides goblet of fire.
maybe youre friends have shit taste. i like camera work, atmosphere, pacing editing, tone and directing of most of them
I linked La Reine Margot and Raid 2 above :/
not your typical meme movies, so I guess most just ignore
The fight with The Assassin was literally God-tier.
Called it already
exactly
Actually it was posted even earlier than that.
Who said I had an opinion on them? I'm saying I know a significant number of people who love Harry Potter, who also like Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead, and also The Big Bang Theory. I'm in the same office as three of them right now.
>Sup Forums
>reading comprehension
Now I'm starting to understand what the other boards say about you.
People should post images too. Sifting through 50 vids is tiresome.
>a lot of them really like the third one for some reason
>some reason
Absolute pleb confirmed what are you doing here mate?
The only good part
youtube.com
The amount of recognition this film doesn't get is simply bullshit. It's one of the best animu films to ever come out. Classic chanbara
I think I need to rewatch this cartoon because it didn't seem all that great the first time around.
I don't like any of them at all. If you were to make choose one I disliked the least, it'd probably have to be either Goblet or Order.
Anyway, it's clear that you seem to operate like a hive mind here, moreso than other boards. I'll just go back to my own boards.
Dunno, but your post made me think of this.
>other boards
i dont care what the average idiots you work with like, if you came to the board for some taste, im here to telling you they have none because potter films are really good and the walking dead and game of thrones are dogshit.
im not talking about fans. im talking about judging the television and film mediums, they arent doing it, im sure if youre here you can. potter is good 2 3 5 6 7.1 are the best
Amazing lighting but the dramaturgy was overdone.
Cliched and predictable.
Good scene.
A fookin classic in every way. 10/10.
Nice but lacking a bit of drama.
Not bad for superhero action.
Good for its time, I can appreciate it not being over-the-top choreopgraphed like more modern fights.
Good, intense fight; driven by the actors' hate-filled faces during combat.
Crying fist
All else is wrong
youtube.com
it becomes a 1v1 duel
and it looks fabulous
For me it is this.
youtube.com
Reasons (apart from choreography)?
A. The outcome wasn't entirely predictable. Either participant could have won.
B. Crowd reactions.
exactly
>dub
it's entirely predictable if you just have followed a bookseries from the 90s...
and GRRM keeps killing all the "good guys", so no big surprise
Since most I could think of have already been posted, have this:
dailymotion.com
(Couldn't find it on youtube with full length and decent quality)
This scene makes much more sense with light sabers
You're all leaving out the classics
This is great choreography (it actually looks real, unlike many of these), and the wordplay is brilliant.
youtube.com
youtube.com
even today, they still worship Guan Yu as God of War in China
youtube.com
it's pretty funny desu
>it's entirely predictable if you just have followed a bookseries from the 90s...
That cannot be a factor in deciding the quality of a scene. That's like saying Achilles versus Hector is not a good scene because of greek mythology. The question is if staging is good wrt people who are not aware of what is going to happen next.
That scene reminds me of the movie Troy!
Step aside plebs! I AM THE ONE!
wtf... Greeks vs Troy happened like 3500 years ago, everyone who has heard of Troy knows how it ended.
if anyone went to the movies and was surprised that Troy lost... shaking my head fämäläm
it's a bit like going to see a ww2 movie and getting surprised at nazis losing
in ASOIAF/GOT, Martin is getting really predictable. some POV chars just don't die, some random good guys keep dying like flies and some subplots just suck
Im nobody's Bitch!
Princess Bride duel.
>Greeks vs Troy happened like 3500 years ago, everyone who has heard of Troy knows how it ended.
You're severely underestimating the numbers of plebs out there.
This one
Hey, does anybody in here have any knowledge about actual fight choreography?
The only good scene
