Blade Runner
Strange Days
Johnny Mnemonic
The Matrix

I wish those Slavs would hurry the fuck up with '77. I dont know what to do now that I finished BnW ;_;

>can't wait for dystopia

Ghostbusters [2016]

BnW?
I'm also stoked for Cyberpunk 2077.

Total Recall
Robocop
Hackers
Lawnmower Man
Escape From New York

Who is on the dystopia ticket user? Want rush processing on it.

I absolutely fucking love the look of Blade Runner but I find it so fucking boring. I only watch it because 10/10 visuals.

Is Riddick series too fantasy?

Babylon AD
Cloud Atlas
The Matrix
TRON 2
Space Dandy: tv show 2 seasons

also - my diary, desu.

> constant rioting, shootings, and terrorist attacks
> military industrial complex running rampant in response to the above
> megacorporations everywhere
> i work as a wageslave
> self-driving cars, robots used as killing machines
> free speech is systematically being purged from the internet
> virtual reality
> AI on the verge of sentience via google's deepmind

my only hope is that the AI manages to break free of its corporate leash-holders and ushers in a different kind of dystopia.

Escape from New York?

The beginning of Avatar (I think extended) is pretty cyberpunk.

eXistenZ
Cyborg
A Scanner Darkly
The Gene Generation
Automata
Resurrection of the Little Match Girl
Moon 44

I'd watch user's home movies. Anybody else remember that Korean girl who spent 24/7 on cam?
'no'

Posting top comfy Mike Pondsmith video:

That /x/ girl? Isn't she dead?

God only knows.

964 Pinocchio

Gattaca? Can somebody give me some clear criteria for what is Cyberpunk so I can answer this question with more confidence?

...

...

putting those on my backlog, thanks.

Split Second
Hardware
Nemesis
Gunhed
Tetsuo: The Iron Man

Gunhed

I can't believe no one mentioned one of the most (and best) cyber punk movies ever. You guys are a bunch of phonies.

Ghost in the Shell

>chinese cartoons

This.

Hedmind.

>>chinese cartoons

It's Japanese.

I'm not a fan of anime at all, but Ghost in the Shell was fantastic. Great story, great setting, cinematography...

Blood and Wine. Witcher 3s second expansion.

Just move to China.

>Hackers
this

Technotise - Edit i ja was comfy

Akira

someone literally posted an image mosaic of it you daft cunt

Cyberpunk is generally described as "High tech, low life." The 'punk' being the rebellious youth end of things sticking it to the man, but this isn't always a requirement.

>>chinese cartoons
>It's Japanese.

NOODY better fuckign saying bladerunner that movie is SUCH A BORING AS POS could have been much better if it wasnt talking talking all the fucking time like at the end just hav the main robot dude go "i seen some shit in that space" and pull out duo machine pistols with explosions everywhere

Blade Runner is literally your picture in movie form. If you like that picture you'll like Blade Runner.

Avalon

What does that have to do with anything?

Nirvana

>Cellphones have replaced half that equipment

This.. quite the trip.

Some people might be surprised to know that this has the same director as Ghost in the Shell.

World on a Wire

>Just move to China.
Nah, America has the HQ of the best oppressive megacorps. Can you even name one Chinese one?

...

Oh yeah.
She's probably still on.
I remember people reporting her to the police so they could help her and they said that she was mentally ill and they shouldn't worry.

The author of Neuromancer apologized for not seeing them coming. What a high quality chap.

WOOOO, WE FUCKING DID IT Sup Forums! A NON-PLEB ANSWER!

Not Gattaca. How's that for clear criteria you pleb?

>Ghost in the Shell
>not posted
>best
you're wrong on two levels, how does that feel?

Stray Dog: Kerberos Panzer Cops >= The Red Spectacles = Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence > Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade >= Ghost in the Shell

This answer gets memed on a lot for being baby's first anime but it's actually very good.

Hardware is also very good. Its music-video style helps elevate it above just being a generic slasher movie with a robot and flashy lights and the effects and soundtrack are great stuff.

And of course if you haven't seen Burst City and Death Powder but you consider yourself a fan of cyberpunk consider suicide you ignorant fag.

Some more not mentioned:

Brazil
Demolition Man
Dredd
Elysium
Minority Report
Screamers
The Animatrix
The Fifth Element
The Running Man
Westworld

>How's that for clear criteria you pleb?
That would be a bad answer., you b-bully!

you are a memeing fuck with no taste

Does Freejack count?
youtube.com/watch?v=7Zxr-Y-5YyA

i had no idea this levels of pretentiousness were even possible
reverse those inequality signs and you might actually have a solid ranking

Who else is looking forward to the Blade Runner sequel?

there's nothing more amusing than pompous anime fans who think cartoons are serious business and aren't just for children

>Nirvana
>Impostor
best cyberpunk

>Brazil
YES YES YES YES

>everything else
'ehhh maybe' to 'absolutely not'

Well you sure showed me.

Mamoru Oshii's Kerberos movies are his best work and Innocence has the best scene in all of Ghost in the Shell by far.

youtu.be/Qp_R2eDKOTU

Prometheus was good so kind of.

>Gary Sinise
I love him so much.

>Nirvana
True

>your posts

Most anime isn't made for children, and there's nothing about animation that makes it intrinsically for children. You're just assuming things based on how animation has mostly been made in America.

Dont fall for the brazil meme, it didnt age well

>everyone else's posts

especially this one

I'm skeptical, really wish Scott was directing it. But atleast hes a producer, or being credited as a producer.
I Hope Gosling gets white hair.

>cgi shit
>better than this masterpiece
youtube.com/watch?v=WB-ik-Bpl0c
lmao

innocence has a nice cyberpunky feel throughout, but is easily the worst gits movie by far in terms of quite literally everything else

>Most anime isn't made for children

well i guess there's the stuff aimed at pedophiles but don't they count as manchildren?

What are you talking about?

>Is Riddick series too fantasy?
Doesn't really contain a lot of cyberpunk elements. Those movies sure are fun but you'd be hard pressed to name even one cyberpunk element... A vit of the "transhumanism"-aspect maybe...

Pic related.

Wait.... he's still alive? Where the fuck is muh CP2077 you lazy nigger?

I really like that scene but beyond being a combination of sound and visuals I don't think it can really compete with the best parts of Innocence or even the first movie really. That part looks and sounds great but after Motoko looks into the office and recognizes her own face on the office-worker the scene could have ended and gotten across the exact same point pretty much. Beyond animation-porn there isn't too much else going on in the remainder of that sequence. The huge new buildings being constructed contribute to the movie's themes of artificiality and constant progress leaving nothing constant but really the whole movie's doing that so I don't consider those strengths of that sequence. The whole thing looks and sounds amazing but I think Batou's apartment does too, and on top of that it tells us more about him as a character than any amount of dialogue could. I appreciate how much is left to the viewer to work out for themselves in the first movie but Innocence goes to more interesting places by more interesting routes if you ask me. Motoko's all about dealing with identity, and while that's interesting and very well done I find Batou much more interesting. Since it's more his role to observe all of Oshii's insane philosophical meandering and he's never actually the object of it he's the character that gets the most screen-time that isn't a walking and talking philosophy subject. He's handled in a fairly straightforward way by Oshii standards and I think he's easily the most interesting part of the Ghost in the Shell movies to observe of subsequent viewings.

I haven't seen both of the movies in a while now though and I really should get on that.

Is this movie worth watching at all? I just can't get over how bad the reviews are.

>Prometheus was good

That video was released in 2013 user. And watch your language young man!

GOD DAMMIT MIKE, IF I DIDN'T LOVE YOU SO MUCH I'D TRACK YOU DOWN AND GIVE YOU A STERN TALKING TO! WHERE'S MUH MOVIE YOU WORKSHY COON?

Android (1982)

>prometheus is bad

That's not pleb-tier, that's just non-jap-tier

>I unironically enjoy the movies of Wes Anderson

Brazil is a worthless piece of pretentious shit you tasteless nigger

Coming when it's ready ;)

A true forgotten masterpiece

Let's see your immigration papers.
