no, it's pretty fucking great though
sure, why not?
I dont know if it's 'the greatest,' but it's certainly my personal favorite of all time
Yeah, heck, you can have it, OP. But just for this one thread, okay?
So who was the 'good'?
no, but it is the greatest western
No, its an overrated piece of garbage.
Not even Leones best
Once Upon a Time in the West > Duck you Sucker > The Good, the Bad, the Ugly > Once Upon a TIme in America > FOr a Few DOllars more > A Fistful of Dollars
Daily reminder
oh its fantastic, but I think For A Few Dollars More just beats it.
> guys? do I fit in yet?
>"Greatest? Hmhmhm..."
>*sips cognac*
>*adjusts trilby
It's pretty good, but Once Upon a Time in the West is better
No easy answer to be honest.
Imo the top 5 greatest films ever made in no particular order
The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
The Warriors
Heat
2005 King Kong
Captain Phillips
Oh and Conan the Barbarian
No, Once upon is shit
Duck, you sucker is okay, but it's nowhere near the others.
Prove me wrong
>cage
Kill yourself
>cage is bad

Can somebody explain to me why they think Once Upon a Time in the West is better? I tried watching it and I couldn't even make it through. Charles Bronson's character is like a cringy, autistic fanfic character, and I found myself incapable of giving a shit about the lady and the railroad bullshit. The Dollars films have far better plot, pacing, writing, and characters IMO.
Finally I had found someone that share with me opinion of that movie. I almost through it is only me.
Yes
>satire
>I didn't laugh once
YES and without doubt user
>>satire
Who said it is satire?
If you don't think the 'Idiots. It's for you.' line is hilarious there's no hope for you
>satire
What did he mean by this?
I don't know, it's slightly too long
It has a similar problem to For A Few Dollars More in that the middle drags (though this is a minor problem at most)
There's no doubt that the dollars trilogy is the greatest of all time by such a wide margin it's almost unfair
I still think FAFDM is better though
Fuck you
You're half-right
The writing wasn't bad, Bronson is just a terrible actor and it's impossible to see him as anyone other than Charles Bronson
If it was Clint Eastwood, none of the problems you listed about him would be there because the subtle nuances in his facial expressions would carry the character
not even the best western of all time
This is meme film.
Sergio Leone
When they matched that explosive, the fuse was rather short and yet in the next cut htey're like 500m away from the bridge, with the bridge still standing. It threw me off.
there's no such thing
sage for a retarded thread where people circle jerk or argue about subjectivety
There aren't a lot of female characters in this film.
I have to say no.

one of the
It's got the best soundtrack of his Westerns, but yeah, most of the characters who aren't Cheyenne just feel kinda flat.
no, but its up there..
pic related would be my choice, but the truth is there is no "greatest".
The extended edition AMC version is definitely up there in top 50 cine.

I'm not saying it isn't great. Morricone's stuff is all amazing.

Someone haven't seen Pulp Fiction
whats in the extended version? any more based tuco bonding scenes?
All of Bronson's characters are retarded wish fulfillment characters for retards who think they want a race war but lack the balls to go outside.
Which one's better: Fistful of Dollars or A Few Dollars More?
Also if anyone has some other good movies to watch, I'd appreciate it.
>satire has to be funny
I want this meme and this poster to die
Greatest trilogy
I would say the Dollars trilogy is the greatest trilogy for all time desu.
TGBATU>A Few Dollars More>Fistful of Dollars
Is go with this
I preferred Fistful over For a Few Dollars More, honestly. I feel like FaFDM got a bit hung-up on it's flashbacks at times.
The movie wants to imply it was The Clint, it obviously wasn't though
nice b8 m8
good is subjective, especially in the west
i think that was the point, that when surrounded by murderers and thieves, a conman is relatively 'good'
I liked Red Sun.
Ursula Andress's boobs were perfect.
I always vote for pic related
No, but it's definitely a contender for the greatest flick.
>Italian
>Good western
Italians lack the qualities necessary to understand the western. They can only produce schlock like the one in your post, OP.
Even though Clint kills people, he can still be considered "good". The movie puts the people he kills into a totally different perspective in the Civil War battle scene
