>Preferably not in black & white.

I know this isn't Sup Forums, but Sword of the Stranger is GOAT.

>Preferably not in black & white.

I ain't gonna do it.

Asian films in general are awful

Damn right senpai, not gonna watch any of old shit lmao

LOOK AT THE TOP OF THEIR HEADS

You have to be 18 or older to post here, you know.

>Preferably not in black & white.

why would anyone say this

Just curious if there's any recent Samurai shit worth watching.

I already know the classic b&w films are great.

If i was a samurai i could rock that hair cut and nobody would notice my shitty hairline.

>Tfw bald at 21
>if i was born into a noble samurai family in 1600 i would get away with it

Ghost Dog.

Yeah because they would be too busy looking at your ugly arse face

Why the fuck would I want to watch some old shitty bad subbed movie in 2 colors on my 4k TV with surround sound?

Almost forgot
No subtitles either, it's a movie not a book

low quality bait try again

2/10 for making me reply

the story is so shit, just watch the last fight on youtube

POST BLACK AND WHITE SAMURAI FILMS.

not OP but I'm interested.

Might not be what you're looking for, but Kagemusha is a visually spectacular film and one of Kurosawa's last great works.

goyokin is a great samurai film by a classic director that just happens to be in color

Make a new thread then faggot. OP was very specific and he said no BLACKED amd white

I NEED BLACK

It was too slow I fell asleep and tabbed out of the window 20 minutes in

Throne of blood is pure kino

Sauce on OP's pic?

T*H*I*S

Too mainstream and generic for my taste

13 Assassins

What about Ran from Kurosawa?

Hanzo the Razor. Pure 70's samurai kino. I'm surpised Tarantino hasn't remade it with Samuel L Jackson.

Christ almighty they look like the biggest fucking faggots of all time.

I can't believe JUSTing yourself was a fashion trend in Japan at one time.

13 Assassins. Pretty good.

WE

Sword of Doom. Best samurai film hands down

Come on man, Ghost Dog is actually a good movie, don't do that shit

>Banning meat while your country starves

WEST IS BEST

>ywn protect his smile

The last sword

Twilight samurai

The hidden blade

Great movies from the 00´s

Lady Snowblood

>no The Last Samurai yet

>In the Kamigata area, they have a sort of tiered lunchbox they use for a single day when flower viewing. Upon returning, they throw them away, trampling them underfoot. The end is important in all things.

This guy knows what he's talking about. Those movies were poetry.

A-at least now all those people have a chance to look back at him and live in virtue ;_;

Has anyone seen Miike's version of Harakiri(Ichimei I think of something)? It looks good, but I haven't seen it yet.

When the Last Sword Is Drawn and Gohato aka Taboo. Both because Shinsengum is the best thing ever to happen to bushido.

It's actually very good and being Miike very gory, but not in a vulgar way. Beautiful film, but I can't remember if it lacks or does not anything of the original. Certainly it is a visual feast.

But user, it's shit

ADHD much?

>Samurai films
>Not wanting to watch the classic that are in black and white

OP is a fag.

Lone wolf & cub movies are goat

Hana Yori Mo Naho

Zatoichi is pretty good. Watched it when it aired on arte a few weeks ago.

Watching it right now,
reminds me of the movies I would watch as a kid pretty good

Fuck you, I liked it.

I used to go to a con that did a midnight show of that every year. It's absolutely terrible (though the third one is legit good I'm told) except to MST3k.

Why was his nephew allowed to not JUST his hair?

The ronin didn't just his hair either but his aprentice did.

Why did the hobo not die at the end

He was immortal.

Actually he was a youkai, and symbolizes the nephews old "free" life of gambling and whoring. He parts ways with him now that he has realized the samurai way of life

Last Samurai

The spear guy was based

13 Assassins was so comfy with half of the movie being that battle against that shogun lord.

Ran > Kagemusha for very late in career Kurosawa

Great ost, edgy as fuck. What was Kazuo Koike thinking?

IP Man

I seriously did not expect that entire scene to last so long. They fought for like 45 minutes and it was incredible.

It was a status symbol which would have been dishonourable for most samurai to not wear. The ronin isn't a samurai and the nephew... I actually can't remember whether he was an actual samurai or not but either way he didn't care about being one.

>In Japan, JUST is a symbol of status
Maybe Brendan will become a huge star in Japan
