been thinking about maybe rereleasing some of the older shit on tape again with updated artwork
feedback/recommendations from previous thread:
Very nice live-band sound. Great stuff to lean against the brick wall and drink watery beer while nodding in rhythm to. The production has a good distance from drums to guitars to vocals.
Void is very gaping and monstrous. I love this kind of drone that evokes the feeling of dark energies surging in an unknown cosmos.
Feels frenetic but still somehow focused. Thought the blips and programmed drum hits had a fun little sizzle to them. If I had any money at all I would pay to download your stuff. Also I really appreciate the visual cohesion.
A lot of interesting textures in every track. Some of em remind me of early 2000's vidya soundtracks. Feels like every piece was constructed as a genuine part of a whole. Getting this on my ipod right now.
Hey I listened to Void and really enjoyed it!

much respect for u all:
I never really got that whole fake vinyl thing ppl do. I like the "her visit" tracks otherwise, would make for decent abstract hip hop if you ever thought about that.
this is pretty nice actually, I might sit through it all later. I feel like you could do really good soundtrack work. Try sending it in to small film directors and stuff to see if they bite.
not much into emo pop specially not with bedroom core production sorry lad, sounds like you've got yourself a niche though so u keep on doing you.
liking this first track a lot so far the drum machine could use a bit more work in production but the synths are space age as hell and the guitars are nice and fuzzy, feels like a really good early prog record from Joe Meek era space rock. Focus on the space age pop feeling maybe even get in a singer who sounds like 50s lounge jazz.
I like the random other recordings but the folk seems pretty lamewad folk, experiment a bit dude. If you're tryna be a more friendly Phil Elverum then stop BC u are a vert good guitar player, learn some songwriting stuff and make it worth smth.
black cat void has nice first tembre, sounds like a really fucking big cloud, maybe get some speech samples in there and make it more fun. Doesn't change enough to warrant being that long desu. Second track is bad and you know it, is this an experiment to show how simplistic harsh noise is?
repetitive, indistinct (IE Rising Sun to early Mastodon, Palm Desert Radio to Kyuss). But I don't expect you want that any other way so, you do you.
I try to be as constructive as possible BC y'all try hard and I appreciate that in and of itself, sometimes ppl like their niche and wanna keep doing it, and that's fine too.
great as always lads

>lofi, avant-garde pop
lel u fell for le spongeman meme
wow dude, harsh lol
but I'm glad you spotted the Mastodon influence, so all in all, I'm happy anyway
I had not heard of Joe Meek before you mentioned him, but now that I know who he is i'm quite flattered that you compared me to him. Also that thing about the 50's lounge jazz singer probably won't happen, I don't know anybody who can sing, let alone sing like that. Also your album is really good, favorite track is

sick as always, love your shit, keep it up
I definitely rock with this, really good transitions, and a nice amount of lofi sound. excellent job
good riffs, good feel, good job
zero complaints on this, really like the slight slide guitar and production on these tracks, however i am inclined to agree with here, experiment a bit more, you have an exceptionally solid foundation
not really my type of music but I appreciate your skills, both in song choices and in the ability to create a mood or feeling like on translucent, good stuff dude

this is a really cool and unique release but i feel like i can't judge it properly because i have no experience in judging poetry on its own. a few of the songs sort of become too similar to my ears, but again, it's more poetry than music so i dont exactly have a right to say that. "goodbye" is really pretty
gotta love tiny diy labels, i'll be checking a lot of these out over the next while

I put this out a while ago at this point, but I'm gonna post here for a bit so people might see my next album and be like "oh it's that guy?"
Anyway, I like this album too. It's good! Natrually, I've just improved since then, so everybody get excited for my new thing.
I appreciate the melancholy songwriting and poignant lyrics - I spent basically all of my dorm years being alone and writing music so it's a little nostalgic too. I will say that you could probably make the chorus a little more distinct from the verse to make things feel a little more dynamic
I like your production. This is a question of poetry styles (I studied a little poetry, but I'm not an expert so bear with me) but I sometimes feel like your phrases aren't "earned". You try to go for emotional punch after emotional punch without anything in between, which makes the punches less impactful and a bit disingenuous. Let things sneak up on the listener, force them to think about it, and allow them to empathize a bit more. Of course, like I said, I prefer the more modern styles of poetry and not the older more flowery style.
