this photo makes me sad. Look at the disappointment in the mother's eyes, the awkwardness of the young girl and the ladyboy's desperate attempt to look nice. You just know they're ostracised everywhere they go, and the mother sits at home knowing the once happy boy she birthed now gets used and degraded by any random foreigner. The girl is probably so confused by it all. What an utterly horrid life.

There's also the possibility this is being used as a long-term emotional manipulation technique; if spain feels the EU doesn't have its back on topics of war, it won't feel as confident in negotiations
