We need a good candidate - weak central government - comfy island, not some shitty thing made of dried bird poop that noone wants anyways - on the smaller side (best target, bigger islands will be better defended) - no strong allies devoted to the central gov't defense (this is the tricky bit as many pacific nations are politically intertwined with the US, and Caribbean nations are intertwined with the US / Europe / Russia)
I think pacifics are better contenders because of the distance from other states

Let's see... Henderson is one of the last totally untouched atolls in the world, due to the fact that landing there is nearly impossible because the edges of the island are sheer cliffs covered in coral all the way around - making the interior almost inaccessible, so that one's out
Dulcie and Oeno are atolls so they have very little land surface and I doubt we could construct anything permanent.. good vacation islands but not good for the main settlement
If we seize Pitcairn Island we will gain control of all of them anyways
The tricky part is dealing with the UK
I suggest we knock out power on the island first - if they can't get a message out, it could be years before the rest of the world notices anything amiss
If we establish there and already have a settlement running once the UK discovers it has been cucked out of an island group, public sentiment (which is against the kidfuckers) will force the UK gov't to treat us lightly
Maybe we can even present ourselves as the new, legitimate government and carry on as a British territory with no one caring :^)

Yeah, visiting is great. I'm pretty slow paced though, DC is a little too active for me to properly enjoy it.
