>tfw only started appreciating grits in the past year
Boy I was missing out.

how do you take em?

cheddar cheese and a drop of hot sauce is my personal favorite, a touch of butter optional but always a worthy addition

pepper jack is also top notch

I'm a Yankee but I like the south 2bh. Grits rule

Pepper jack most of the time. I was a terrible picky eater for a long time, i missed out on so much good food as a kid.

that looks yummy

redpill me on grits

you're welcome to dinner senpai

grew up on grits but i hated them because my parents liked them with sugar or honey

then one day at thanksgiving an aunt made the saltiest cheesiest grits ive ever had and my life was changed

shrimp and grits is a national treasure

>fights for slavery
>too broke to own slaves

southerner logic

tldr is its course ground cornmeal

but what makes them particularly fantastic is the fact that the course grind produces an uneven release of the starches during cooking (so you gotta stir constantly to keep em creamy and smooth) and the texture is heavenly

most folks have em plain with a little butter on top, some like em sweet with honey or sugar, some folks like em with cheese, shrimp and grits is the epitome of grits dishes

Hush now yank, we're eating grits. This is not the place to relitigate historical grudges.

always thought that grey should be incorporated into the rebel flag somehow.

it looks good in grey too

This is my favorite iterarion of it, honestly. Obviously the amount of white makes it pretty unusable during war though.

confederate flags are great

>yankees only recognize the stars and bars

>do it for him

Hello I wish to be the cowboy.

wtf I love Jamie Lannister now

States' Rights?

I really wonder what they were thinking with the Stars and Bars, actually. It must have been intended to be temporary.

regional loyalty

A war to end all Yankees?

>anything besides butter, salt, and pepper
Blasphemy.

I approve of these toads.

...

advance the flag of dixie

>leaving grits as a one tone meal

they can be so much more

Tell me about your states anons. I'll start
>north carolina
>top tier nature, best section of the Appalachians, outer banks etc.
>based colleges like Duke and Chapel Hill
>some of the best barbecue and beer in the south
>only real downsides are the increasing number of northern transplants and a rise in heroin addiction

>Virginia
>Mother of Presidents
>wine, ham, and marble cake
>barbeque very similar to North Carolina's
>designated shooting University
>designated Yankee zone

>arkansas
>most untouched wilderness in the south
>backwoods by most standards but cozy
>VERY cheap cost of living
>friendly and laid back community (rednecks/hillbillies and a surprising number of hippies)

downsides
>like a third of the counties dont sell alcohol
>no alcohol sold at all on sundays
>the clintons

Sounds about right although never noticed the uptick in heroin usage. Mostly a small town thing?

Yeah, my city's had a problem with it recently. Apparently the crackdown on prescription drugs has driven a lot of opiate addicts to heroin.

i lived in NC from 2005-2009, doctors prescribed vicodin like candy at the time

Yeah shit was bad, two of my aunts were major pill addicts, hell they took away my cousin because her mom was strung out 24/7 on any pills she could get.

Hahahaha

Dont make me post him...

You know who....

Independent Dixieland of that free-mason "country" called United States fighting against the globalisation with an identitarian Europe when.

Sign me up.

soon

Damn sucks to hear. Apparently four of our towns are on the top 20 towns/cities with high rates of opioid abuse.

wncn.com/2016/04/20/4-nc-towns-in-top-20-nationally-for-opioid-abuse-study-finds/

Fayetteville, Hickory, and Jacksonville North Carolina doesn't really surprise me too much but Wilmington being number one was pretty surprising.

>tfw in hickory
Maybe I'm just sheltered, but finding out that my hometown has such a terrible heroin problem shocked me.

>>>>>>>> cum
Good general!

Btw do you southerners eat johnnycake or is it a carib thing? My apologises for my ignorance.

What's Johnnycake? Don't think that's ours.

btw confederate flag design best design

Ah alright, she is an idiot then. I think its just sweetened cornbread though. Do you guys eat that?

Oh in that case yes, cornbread is a staple food in the South. And it is sometimes sweetened.

I made y'all a couple of handwritten bumps last night:

Oh, apparently I attached one of em too. Maybe it'll let me delete it so it doesn't complain if someone tries to post it later.

Nice. I'm a bit of an autist about handwriting, maybe I should pick up the hobby.

It can be fun, go for it.

Fuck y*nkland and fuck y*nkee people!

Time for one of these.

Git that damn sandnigger writin outta hier boi tell you hwat

That ain't sandnigger writing. It's a dying art known as "cursive".

Tennessee pride.

...

...

Hope that's sarcasm my man. Kids these days.

To be honest, my handwriting is still better with slightly less fancy pens. This one's fun as fuck to use but it also takes a shitton of control.

Southerners are the best people. Where is best to move for work? I have friends in the Memphis and north Alabama, Tennessee valley area.

Skills in electronics,l so anywhere with industry like that going on. I'm taking advantage of trump boom on local economy to get an education and start a business.

I've heard Texas has a booming IT industry.

They still taught it when I was in 3rd grade, but i forgot it and no one bothered to reinforce it.

I mix mine with cheddar cheese and rice.

Yeah, I used it when I was in school and I had to. Always preferred to print for everyday stuff, but I still break out the good shit for writing cards and whatnot. Now I look for excuses to do it, haha.

I just decided to start using cursive one day because writing in print was slower and was making my hand ache, and I never stopped. Multiple people have said my handwriting is girly but it literally is just easier once you get the hang of it.

>georgia
>regions for everything - beaches, mountains, cities etc.
>best college in the SEC
>beautiful women

its really got something for everyone

Where do they still require that you use it?

Got sent to a Catholic school for elementary.

Bout 7:30 in the morning here and I still haven't gone to sleep, so I'll bump this one more time for y'all and then it's lights out for me.

Night, calligraphybro

What pen and ink is that?

...

WAIT DID SOMEONE SAID CALLIGRAPHY?

aw yiss more stylish bumps

What do you think? And no, the Klan's deader than the IRA.

Only in very isolated mountain towns, the kind of places that are always terrible to live in.

>terrible
Terrible in that they're full of very poor people, yes, but I'd rather be poor in a mountain town in the South than poor anywhere else.

bump so this will be alive during American power hour

Heroin is currently a problem in the US and Canada. I'm assuming it's because people stopped caring about marijuana as much.
