Pop in 2000

the generation isn't the problem, it's the result

>me: 2017 vs. 2000
>you: BUT WHAT ABOUT 2017 VS 1977
but i wasn't talking about that you retard

Your selective perception is showing.
If you actually took the time to analyze lyrics over the past 50 years, you would find the words might be somewhat different, but the message is the same.
You're just growing older and becoming more aware of things like other people's sexuality and how much it permiates in society, and it makes you uncomfortable.
It's always been there, you just never noticed.

You have to see there's an obvious trend

not him but
>DAE miss when music wasnt all about le drugs and sex???
is obviously not specific to a particular time period

Typical reddit enlightened centrist post. Can you just go back?

>the message "i love you" is exactly equivalent to "i want to fuck you"
>>>/tumblr/

she aint got shit on madonna

this, it's not even worth debating because the people behind it admit it. there's a lot of positive talk about how this generation's media is more "progressive" "sex positive" but as soon as someone takes a negative view of this they suddenly pretend there's been no change at all

this thread is about 2000 vs 2017 so fucking obviously that's what i was referring to.
