Try this

thing about this album is it sounds accessible and soft, almost pillowy, really unthreatening, but the way the songs progress isn't like pop music at all, there are hardly any proper choruses on the entire album and even besides that there's very little repetition, the songs sprawl out lavishly and branch in unexpected directions and never loop back, and the lyrics are surreal and goofy and very political

Yeah, it's extremely overrated. A 6/10 at best.

took a few listens for all the tracks to click for me but I love this album

Yeah

I really like Love, they're one of my favorite bands of that era. But that album is a little overrated, and my favorite songs by them are their more garage rock-style stuff. Here's my favorite song by them:

Love has a truly great album but it's called Da Capo.

One of my favourite covers

Agree. I listened to it, thought it was great, and never listened to it again.

It's a comfy album and a surreal trip at the same time

>very political

There's your problem

Forever Changes is a classic

it's just such a unique brand of weird acid folk that couldn't have been written convincingly at any other point or place in time

Da Capo's alright

WHEN I'M HYPNO
TIIIIIIIZZZZEEEDDDD

It's a great album.

YOU THINK YOU'RE HAPPY AND YOU ARE HAPPY THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE HAPPY FOR

It's pretty much the ultimate embodiment of the summer of love, one of music's most significant, diverse, creative and important periods in the past 60 years.
