idk why his voice sounds tolerable on siamese dream, but near unlistenable on melon collie. it must be the way he mixes it

is he the most overrated music "artist" of all time?

dale

cherub rock is the only good song of his

Is 2:47 the worst moment in the history of music?

no. he is, unfortunately, a criminally underrated rock guitarist because his stupid persona eclipsed that he's reliably great at shredding.

if you don't like this song, you don't like fun.

Not by a long shot

wtf is that guitar tone? sounds like a MIDI fart sample

Weird, I really like his voice.
Can sound a bit toxic at times, but usually when delivering a fairly toxic line, so it works for me.

It's got good indie rock grit while being a little bit nasally and non-macho. Pretty decent control too... not sure what there is to hate about it.

Hardly. Does anyone really talk about his musical output post Mellon Collie?

This.

Same. I completely agree. Though his voice may technically not be a great singing voice, I still really enjoy it and think it suits Pumpkins perfectly.

I love Billy's vocals pre-2000's era Pumpkins.

Joanna Newsom's voice is like nails on a chalk board for me.

I would argue that he was a great songwriter, but I'm pretty sure the more complex guitar work was handled by James Iha.

>I'm pretty sure the more complex guitar work was handled by James Iha
You are wrong.

Billy recorded all the guitars on Siamese Dream.

Didn't he record all of Siamese Dreams by himself?

That's the evidence I needed, thank you. I was wrong.

Mayonaise

Jesus, Billy what were you thinking man?

I used to love this but with hindsight it is a bit cringey, I suppose.

Except for drums

Would you have picked Billy or Kurt

Me too. I was looking for something similar to Buckley's Gunshot Glitter and someone recommended SP's 1979.

My thoughts were
>sounds pretty 90s
>looks pretty 90s
>ugh that voice; done

no, he's a terrific songwriter and pretty great guitarist. just unfortunate that he had a very short prime

if he could get rid of the nasally part of his voice he honestly would be a much better vocalist. dude needs his tonsils out or something

It's such a shame because I LOVE the instrumentation in their music.

It's hard for me to fully enjoy 1979 and Tonight, Tonight because of this.

Me and a friend have a running inside joke about this fuckin guy and he thought I made this thread. Lol

Do you guys think he still obsesses over losing that hag to Kurt? or does he secretly stalk Francis waiting for his ultimate revenge.

Bald fag!
