I like this chart a lot, what are Piper and the Cherry Blossoms like?
try Agitation Free - Malesch

Space Needle - The Moray Eels Eat the Space Needle

Elvin Jones - Live at the Lighthouse

Scientist - Heavyweight Dub Champion

Piper is Japanese pop funk. It's not sophisticated at all, but it's pretty good feel good music.
The Cherry Blossoms are a freak folk group. The music is also pretty upbeat and feel good-ish. Also, that album features the theme from Godzilla played on kazoo.
Thanks for the rec, mate.

Will do! Kim Jung Mi was totally in my lane. Also, what is with the albums that have the yellow/brown borders and a circle in the middle. I've noticed that a lot recently. Ikue Mori- Hex Kitchen, Syzygys, Death Ambient, Otomo Yoshihide's New Jazz Orchestra...

But yeah, definitely check out Tokyo Jihen. Especially if you enjoyed Sanmon Gossip. They're a lot of fun.
Thoughts on Everything Now? It was definitely the worst AF for me, but not as awful as people are making it out to be.

I think it feels more upbeat than Reflektor, the daytime version of Reflektor. It def feels like the one where Win really stops making interesting observations, very dull lyrically.

u look cool but i dont listen to rap so i cant comment
ayy jim

NOW IS THE TIME TO RELAUNCH THE DREAM WEAPON

>Also, what is with the albums that have the yellow/brown borders and a circle in the middle.
im not 100% sure but i think theyre all a part of a label called Tzadik. im guessing that brown border and circle in the middle is their aesthetic. in any case, i love all those albums lol

That was my first guess because of Ikue Mori, but I had no idea Otomo Yoshihide's New Jazz Ensemble (not Orchestra-- I get the two confused all the time), and Syzygys were released through Tzadik until now. Looks like you're right though. It seems to be everything specifically in the New Japan series.

I mean you got the best Earl album there so I can't hate.

That Frankie Cosmos album gives me warm fuzzies whenever I listen to it.

The only one I've heard here is The Sensual World but that's a great album.
