Reminds me of when Van Halen did You Really Got Me. They "rock-ified" it despite the original rocking plenty. It was this totally clueless, ego-driven thing, adding nothing to the original and misunderstanding it entirely.

Paul Simon achieved dramatic effect with just words, a guitar, and two-part harmony. Disturbed turned it into this string-drenched, enlightened-trailer-trash thing.
