How is it that every member of The Beach Boys sounds the exact same?

If I didn't know any better, I would never be able to guess that these are four separate vocalists

Not my fault you have a bad ear.

So did Brain Wilson thanks to his dad.

I used to think the same about The Beatles, but after listening so much to them, I can easily tell the difference.

you just have to listen for a while

Mike is loud, high pitched, and buzzy, usually annoying, sometimes not
Carl is kinda like brian, but cleaner and higher
Brian is deeper than carl, and his falsetto is kinda whiny but enjoyable

>Mike is loud, high pitched
Mike sang the bass parts, pleb.

Who did it better?

Brian Wilson, he sounds more sincere.

mike is pretty distinctive, his lead vocals are generally the reediest (not in a bad way) of them all.

i genuinely can't tell brian and carl apart at all though, i didn't know until very recently that it wasn't brian singing on god only knows.

Mike Love is objectively the worst singer in the group. His strength was in writing lyrics and antagonizing Brian to keep up his creativity.

>sincere
It's not even his own words you dummy

Shit, I legit thought Brian did all the lead vocals on Pet Sounds.

They're all related, makes sense that they all sound similar

Carl's voice has a smoother and more velvety feel to it, while Brian is a little harsher and has a tendency to belt. They can sound very alike at times in mid-range, although Brian's falsetto is unmistakable.
For the longest time I thought Brian sang lead on Wind Chimes and Cabinessence.

I think he does a pretty great job on "That's Not Me"

Btw this is Brian's best vocal:

The best demonstration of his falsetto abilities and his appeal as a singer. He sounds like a literal angel

Where can I find who sings lead on each song? Cause I thought that was Brian on Wind Chimes and Cabinessence too.

Does Dennis sing lead on any notable tracks?

do you wanna dance, my miss america, in the back of my mind, this car of mine, probably forgetting some others

>Does Dennis sing lead on any notable tracks?
Little Bird, Forever, and Slip on Through are his big ones

I have a hard time telling Mark and Jerry apart when I listen to Devo.

Also when Peter Gabriel left Genesis his voice seemed to change, and Phil Collins somehow turned into a perfect clone of old Peter Gabriel.

And the singer of Urban Verbs is the brother of Chris Frantz and somehow manages to sound pretty similar to David Byrne.

I'm convinced this is some crazy illuminati shit

Wtf
I always thought that Mike parts were Brian doing a gay voice.

Bad meme.

He could do it though

Oh yeah, forgot Little Bird and slip on through. But none of those were as big as Do you wanna dance.

Well yeah, but Dennis wrote Little Bird and the rest I mentioned.
