I haven't consistently in years. Somehow the residual effects from wrestling in high school keep me from looking like complete slop but I really should get back to working out again.

Favs:
new stuff sounds neat so far. I'll also second the surprise at being able to release and work on so much music at once, and actually having it come out good. Can't imagine being able to do that.

Music I would honestly listen to and enjoy off of the band camp thread circle jerk. Good music for a sunny road trip with friends.

I already liked your stuff from in the past. Lol, I can't listen to it when I'm legitimately depressed, but when I'm in good moods, your compositions are pretty thought provoking.

Any thoughts?

that's fair. I feel like I'd get too distracted. hard to make cohesive music that way

I enjoyed dementia from a while ago. The instrumentals are pretty catchy for this, wish it wasn't pushed so far behind the vocals but I can see why you chose to do it that way. "In Me" is by far my favorite.

The lyrics for this are way worse than dementia though. Just imho. Fucking hate the suicide/depression glorification (at least, that's how it comes off). The autotune on the vocals is grating too. Generally speaking I guess I don't like these vocals nearly as much.

Thanks! I don't listen to my music much/at all, but when I tripped acid (not doing that again) it was pretty terrible, felt all those dark feelings come crawling back. Like reliving what made me write them in the first place. It's cool that you can dig it in a good mood though, I've heard a few people say it's "comfy," but pretty much anyone who's read the lyrics says the same about it just being depressing. Glad you're getting emotions out of it either way!

Pretty much this. Isn't hurting anyone. But I know I'll buy some stuff on Friday

Kinda generic tumblr acoustic

You totally should. Highly recommend biking. Enjoy your stuff still.

PS: the guy who did the reviews stopped, and right as he'd said he was going to review my album Wednesday. Guess it induced sudden onset hopelessness

Diet helps a lot, I was terrible for a while at that

Other recs:

in retrospect, did you mix those two up? because I don't think mine is music for a sunny road trip necessarily (though I'd love if you enjoy it that much) but I DEFINITELY can't see that with any of scrugley's stuff

brump

Oops there was a mix up. Huston we have a problem

>Ombudsman.bandcamp.com
are you retarded?

Bandcamp is a shit streaming/download service. They charge artist for free downloads and pay you nothing for streams. Get off the site as fast as possible.

>PS: the guy who did the reviews stopped
Aw that sucks, you're definitely more deserving of getting one of those, I just got lucky by messaging him first.

Wonder why he would stop though. His whole style was actually pretty great and he was getting solid view counts for having just started. Oh well.

Let your ideas mellow, try to make an album that (if someone else made it) you'd buy physically in your record store, or listen to more than once

just go for it, speciall if its electronica or something like that and whole album is not always necesary.
Not bad, would cop for a good dowtempo mix

There are zero (0) square waves on winter beats.

>it sounds like chiptune
>BUT MUH ZERO SQUARE WAVES!

Just because you haven't used any of it's techniques that doesn't say it doesn't sound and feel like it. Is that too hard to understand?

recs

>Chiptune: 4 waveforms
are you retarded?

It's not a "technique", it's a specific timbre that is completely unique to chiptune music that is a b s e n t on this album. There aren't any pulse waves or triangle waves either.

Square, Pulse, Triangle, Noise.

That's not what defines chiptune. You can't just create your own definitions for stuff. You'll just sound like a retard.

I'd also like to thank the person who created a RYM page for me, it truly means a lot. Thank you

please provide some examples of chiptune that doesn't use chiptunes

>It's not a "technique"
>technique - method of performance; way of accomplishing something
Yeah, sure.

Again.
>It feels and sounds like chiptune
>MUH WAVES AND IT HAS TO HAVE A SPECIFIC TIMBRE TOO!

Dude, really, grow a pair. Timbre is a part of a sound. The rest tells me "it's vidia music, it sounds like chiptune".

>please provide some examples of chiptune that doesn't use chiptunes
So you are retarded, good to know.

>Debate about his music being chiptune
>please provide some examples of chiptune that doesn't use chiptunes

What?

Non sequitur ftw apparently

I have literally never heard music that didn't contain ANY sounds popularized by old sound chips be called chiptune. It's like saying a song that doesn't contain guitar, bass, or drums is rock.

chiptune does not mean 8bit, retard.

Yeah but how does this matter to your music you imbecile? I've said your release SOUNDS and FEELS like chiptune and you have a spasm over that. That's a pretty huge difference over it actually being chiptune. What about "post-punk" then? Some bands have saxophones, some don't. We don't exclude these in their own separate thing JUST because they have/don't have saxophones. Same with your lack of 8-bit and w a v e s. Just because you don't use them doesn't automatically say it can't be considered that because your release, again, SOUNDS and FEELS like a vidia music or a chiptune album.

Also, if 4/5 of your release resembles that genre then as sure it fits general categorization. Just as bands who have no guitar players are considered rock bands because their sound and the usage of it resembles rock music. The rest can be there (drums, bass, vocals) and it's still a rock band.

Stop replying to obvious trolls.

Chiptune is for nostalgic idiots who don't give a shit about sound design. I don't associate with it and will correct anyone who implies I do.

I'd rather listen to chiptune than that trash you shared.
And retro consoles like the Sega Genesis/Megadrive and some NES games used FM synthesis, not unlike your shit album, so, yes, it has chiptune elements, whether you like or not.

>expecting tripfags to not be retarded
BOI

Hey, REM doesn't associate themselves with jungle pop or alternative music and WHAT DO YOU KNOW, their first releases were jangle pop as fuck and their later releases are alt-rock.

Just because you don't feel something doesn't mean it's not there.

Also
>being this spastic over calling your music one genre you don't like
Sup Forums children at it's best. But it gives me more excuses to call your music "chiptune" from now on since it clearly, and, repeat after me, SOUNDS and FEELS like it.

So what is it? The melodies? Because it obviously has nothing to do with the production. Any kid friendly and catchy instrumental is chiptune now?

I have to go now but good talk (not really)
