Does no one else have this feel?

no, nietzche proved that romanticism is non-materialistic

I do

Ah yes, nothing like medieval favelas.

Why can't we build things like this? Why do we have to be burgers?

We can build shit like that, it's just that it would be embarrassing and fake like the chinese fake Venices and shit.

Stuff like that has to be 1000+ years old, built on hills to avoid barbarians, etc.

I don't care it looks better than concrete and glass jungles or endless cardboard houses.

Have you ever been to Vegas? That's how a fake ass village like that would feel, it would be soul crushing. They only have the aesthetic and appeal due to it's the fact that it's real.

Was that in Untimely Meditations or The Birth of Tragedy?

B-but you can.

A house in the middle of nowhere in italy costs next to nothing. Why the fuck don't you fly over and do that?

Can confirm this, the feeling of something being old is way more comfy that the actual looks. I went to Germany for an exchange trip once and stayed in a small village outside a town of 50k, and even though the village wasn't super aesthetic it was comfy as fuck. It's the little things that really sell it.

Vegas is literally nothing but suburban sprawl with a few concrete rectangles on the strip. Nothing is built like an actual traditional european city.

You can't just do that though, you need residency visa and that's hard to get unless you have college degree or job lined up.

North africans seems to get that very easily, what's stopping you?

Italy is one of the worst countries in Europe.
I don't know why Americans on this board as so obsessed with it there being much better places that continent.

They get because they literally just jump on a boat and get refugee status. I'm white from a first world country I don't have that option.

Look who's talking

What I mean is go take a gondola ride in Venice vs at the Venetian casino.

(Fun fact: Gondola rides in Venice are actually cheaper)

>High quality of life
>Urban and rural culture
>Large variations in regions
>Great cuisine
>Great history
>Friendly people

There is pretty much no other European country that offers all that. You might be richer in some shit snow country but who cares if you can't enjoy it.

It doesn't really work like that.
Jealous Barfgentina, is that you again?

>What I mean is go take a gondola ride in Venice vs at the Venetian casino.
kek, they don't actually build it like it is in europe. It's all a cheap facade, underneath it's still shitty american construction standards. I'm talking real stone with real narrow cobblestone streets.

>It doesn't really work like that.
But it does, they get refuge status for being from poor war torn shitholes.

>High quality of life
among the worst quality of life in europe

>Urban and rural culture
every country has that

>Large variations in regions
doesn't vary that much

>Great cuisine
enjoy eating pasta and pizza on a loop for the rest of your life, the thought of it makes me vomit.

>Great history
all dead and buried now, it's in the distant past.

>Friendly people
very subjective

italy it...a 2/10 country

>among the worst quality of life in europe
It really doesn't differ that much. Minute differences. If your not lower class you will enjoy similar life quality.

To the Argie that hates Italy, do not ever respond to my post again. Thank You.

Refugee or not, you need to get the status of temporary visa for 3 months, it's just a bit of wait in a postal office line, but then you're good. For full citizenship you either stay here 10 years or marry an italian woman.
You're trying way too hard, you could've done better.
2/10

What about permanent visa?

you're delusional anyway
and that meat is raw, disgusting

you want me to insult your country? no need to, its very existence is a complete mockery to you and your people.

How about you let me marry your sister Giuseppe and I get citizenship, fair deal.

Gotta be honest, for full citizenship i really don't know since i was born here.
Have a foreigner friend, so i know that the previous statements are a fact, and it's not that hard to keep doing this every 3 months since it takes like 10 minutes to an hour max to revision a visa.
Don't think you want to.
She's a devoted feminist.

>Gotta be honest, for full citizenship i really don't know since i was born here.
Citizenship isn't the same as residency. Or can you not get permanent residency without being a citizen?

Don't think there's a permanent residency without citizenship.
There is although a longer period than 3 months that is possible to obtain at the postal office, but i don't know the bureaucracy around it.

I'm not that argie but that undercooked meat triggered me.

Do you know how I can look up and search for property?

That really depends on the region and province.
Easy for northern italy, harder for south.

What's the best part? Hottest girls, best food, nicest cities ect.

become an housesitter for some countryside villa. I know a burger who did that for a year.

I do, but i'm surrounded by etrurian ruins (or were them etruscan? I dont remember) instead

Do you find cool things in the ground sometimes? Did you play in the ruins as a kids?

Tough as fuck question.
If you look for nice rural areas you can try all the center.

it happened to find some decorated shards of some amphoras, the problem is that etruscan civilization lived long before romans and they were destroyed by them so most of the things you can find are broken and almost unrecognizable

Still really cool. I can't imagine finding stuff that old. Probably doesn't seem nearly as exciting if you've grown up with though.

As a child I was excited anyway

I'm a Californian. I don't know if I could handle the feels associated with living within the ruins of a once great civilization. The missions are enough.

I am from SoCal too. 2bh I wanted Italy because the climate is the same only the architecture and urban planning isn't completely retarded. I hate endless suburbia.

I thought argies were meat connoisseurs.
So you just eat a lot of meat but you don't really know how to make it good?

I actually live north of San Francisco. It's nice because things are still organized as towns. The suburbs haven't erased everything. There are even things built in a rustic style. This stone amphitheater was built over 100 years ago.

Sometimes.

That's bretty cool. Is the whole liberal shithole meme as bad as they say?

>ywn be Italian
Hold me lads. Literally the nicest people I have ever met tbqh while poles are sad cunts who can'e enjoy nice things

>tfw I will move to Italy this summer for a few months at least

>This stone amphitheater was built over 100 years ago.
kek

>longing to be constantly reminded of your people´s fall from grace and greatness

>I'm white from a first world country I don't have that option.
Why would you want that "option" in the first place? You live in the greatest country on planet earth.

Spare me the spiel Finn. You don't know what it's like to be here. It's not like hollywood, tv, marketing shows you.

It matters where you go and who you talk to. On the university campuses there are people who really do believe in the things they create. And the average person on the street is likely a Democrat. I currently live in Sonoma, which was and still is a quiet farming community. It's pretty based. Napa to the east is an elite wine growing region, populated by people who cater to snobby tourists. They essentially absorb most of the crime that comes out of the east bay. To the south is Marin where I grew up. Marin is a very wealthy county full of entitled people. Robin Williams lived there for years before he committed suicide. There are good people there too, but most get squeezed. If you didn't buy in decades ago an ordinary family can't afford to buy in most places there now.

I'm just saying you can have things that look older without it looking like Las Vegas. The fact that that thing was built back in 1913 is a big deal. You think it's easy back then for a small community to get construction equipment 2,000 feet up a mountain?

Same here 2bh. People on the street are usually an ordinary democrat, but the kids at university are horrendous. Unfortunately all of SoCals nice small towns were in the basin and that got completely swallowed by sprawl.

The desert is shit and even it's been getting suburbanized now that everything from the coast to the mountains has been packed with suburbia.

It´s all fine and dandy in majority white counties with lax gun law. I don´t want to live in Cuck County, NYC, District of Murder, Baltimore, Philly, LA or any other democrat-run, welfare-gangbanger infested megalopolis shithole.

Don't listen to him, he tried to gain citizenship but Italy refused him and note he's sadly at. Kek.

Fucking Sup Forumstard than. Rural America is a fucking shithole. Retards on this site have to insult everyone who isn't from there because they're compensating. There is nothing to do there besides drugs and shooting shit and that gets old after awhile.

All the jobs have left, everyone is on welfare and drugs. All the smart people leave to go find work in the cities. Getting all your information from Sup Forums isn't very accurate.

LA PLATA

While I support the notion that most of the US are horrendous, it has to be said that there are extremely comfy areas in the US, you just gotta look in the right places. Namely more historic ones, and specifically New England.

It's no wonder that most of the west looks absolutely soulless (nature aside) if the bear share of its population growth occured in the 20th century, partially even post-war.

You can't prove something in philosophy. Nietzche did also point this out. He basically said that no philosophy is objective truth, only subjective ideas in our minds.

Yes there is some gems out there. You just have to deal with the weather. And well, everyone hates Californians so I probably wouldn't be welcome.

fuck off retard

The statistics point to cities being violent drive-by shooting meccas. Furthermore, the industrial-era suburban sprawl (what you´re describing) contains less dangerous elements than urban areas cramped with section 8 housing.

Most smart people commute to the Big City out of necessity - they seldomly actually live in the middle of the concrete jungle.

The weather is cozy as fuck for my preferences. Even New England gets as much sun as Italy, except that it's not as hot. I'd go absolutely insane in the permanently sunny oven that is the southwest where you can never have comfy stay-at-home days.

How do you know

>mad communist cuck detected
90% of US counties are safer than Ebinland, whilst simultaneously allowing average joe to purchase a pistol and rifle by waving his ID and filling out a 4473. Social democracy is a totalitarian meme and you know it.

Mene hirteen, fillarikommunisti.

Honestly, it's a little too fine and dandy. Many people have the luxury of becoming complacent. In many towns the white majority is slowly eroding. Most people just don't care and the only people to openly comment on it keep saying it's a good thing. Where I live is an example of a place where Democrats have the resources to tax and spend as they please because the economy can largely afford it.

I don't know much about news, but I'm pretty sure the local paper doesn't need a permanent a cannabis section.
pressdemocrat.com/

Please don't try to argue you fucking retard. I actually live here. The suburbs are safer than the city generally yes. As long as you avoid ghettos in the city though you'll be fine. The suburbs are soul crushing monotony. They are so boring and sterile kids end up going crazy and spraying bullets down the halls of their school.

You need to go back

Is this real?

Yes

>They are so boring and sterile kids end up going crazy and spraying bullets down the halls of their school.
b8/10

Enjoy being carjacked by meth-dealing urban youth.

>As long as you avoid ghettos in the city though you'll be fine.
As long as the God of Statistics doesn´t fuck you over, that is. God Bless the (now mostly rural and suburban) right to bear arms for defense.

I´m not a dixie-enthusiast, and neither is anyone else equipped with a healthy appreciation of traditional American values. I´ll take Vermont or New Hampshire over my godforsaken fatherland any day of the week.

>Enjoy being carjacked by meth-dealing urban youth.
I've actually been inside an America city and you haven't so...
>As long as the God of Statistics
They are just that, statistics. They don't take into account all the different variables other than just math that affect your chances of something happening to you.
You're a cringeworthy autist either way.

>They are just that, statistics. They don't take into account all the different variables other than just math that affect your chances of something happening to you.
That is literally what I wrote.

You either trust your life to chance (i.e. statistics), or to your personal agency. The basic variables remain the same: "armed and prepared" or "unarmed and unprepared". In the city, law abiding citizens are forced to reconcile their cowardice by giving the criminal free reign.

I already live in a little Italy, but the south Italy part, so send help
