Building skyscrapers should be banned in Europe

They are hideous, vomit inducing to look at, often shaped like ugly cubes or even dildoes among other unsavory things. Not to mention, the continent's population is sharply falling. What need have we for more buildings? There's plenty that stand empty.
Even if there was a need, there's absolutely no excuse for building these disgusting eyesores, when there's at least 2000 years worth of architectural styles to choose from. Classical, Neo-Gothic, you name it.

I agree
t. afraid of heights so want those things torn down here too

It's incredibly difficult to get planning permission for them in London and they are confined to a very small district.

It's banned in several cities here. Still it's just up to cities to decide this. I wish the same. Scyscrapers are in 90% of all cases nothing more than dickwaving for banks and companies anyway. A waste of money.

This is why Europe will remain shitty.

While other countries are developing, building new cities, increasing investments into the city, etc. Europe is withering away.

Fucking Panama City has a better skyline than any Euro city, imagine that.

And is Panama better than Netherlands or Germany? It keeps a nice living quality, green trees and nice places instead of concrete valleys.

bait

Even Panama City can't beat the beauty of Hong Kong.

Jesus Christ that is ugly.

>the beauty of Hong Kong.

Inside

>when there's at least 2000 years worth of architectural styles to choose from. Classical, Neo-Gothic, you name it

muh history

because of people like you magyarország and the rest of europe are shitholes with no future still stuck in the past and they are to be overran by arabs and blacks.

It's ok if they are built for business/government purposes.
Not for residence areas though.

But we don't have room
We need lebernsraum

Agreed. Skyscrapers are awful unless under certain circumstances. And wife avenues should also be banned to keep everything human scale.

Shut up, skyscrapers are god tier and should be built more because they are a much more efficient to develop the land than plopping an infinite ammount of shorter buildings. Raze all shitty the 70s blocks and replace them with taller (and high quality of course, not shitty HK tier) buildings and build a fuckton more of parks all around them.

I do agree they shouldn't be built right next to historical centers. Do it the Paris way.

>4 buildings
how cute

all because "hurr muh skyscrapers are a symbol of the capitalist oppression, let's keep them short and spread all over the fucking place"

A nation without a history is a nation without a future.

>hurr muh skyscrapers are a symbol of the capitalist oppression
But they really are. And isn't Spain's birth rate is ~1.2? What do you need skyscrapers for?

Wrong, skyscrapers should be built, but only in one financial center in the city, away from the old town. Not like in Istanbul where skyscrapers are everywhere, so ugly.

Countries like Spain, Bulgaria, France have the right idea.

ChambermartĂn es una de las peores zonas de la cuidad m8

>raze all shitty the 70s blocks and replace them with taller (and high quality of course, not shitty HK tier) buildings and build a fuckton more of parks all around them.

Also financial centers of course, a few more of them would come handy.
>inb4 unemployed.

It's a damn shame development in London wasn't limited to canary wharf.

That's a nightmare. How is that a good thing?

Looks like Monterrey

Monterey doesn't look like that.

Yeah it does, 4 towers which one looks like straight out of Halo Reach and the rest of the buildings 3-5 story buildings

Oh, I forgot there's a Monterrey in Mexico too.

If theres another Monterrey in the world it must be some shithole that makes look the actual Monterrey like an actual habitable place
