I do, but I did show up. But since I was in uni and didn't want to serve, they didn't call me in. There's lots of poor people here that do want to serve because you can create a career, so they don't usually call you if you don't want to unless you are a degenerate and they want to be extra cunts with you.

Before we got rid of it, you were excempt if you had some kind of illness. My uncle got out of it by being colorblind. You could probably try to fake it, get someone that knows about those colorblindness tests and have him tell you what a colorblind person would answer and memorize it.
You could also serve later if you were going to college, or get an easier service, like on the police near wherever you lived

Basic military training though is active again but just for a selected number of people who has turned 18. I think something like 4k people will be chosen for mandatory training.

Back in the 90's when I did it it was pretty much mandatory though, every young man who was healthy had to complete the 3-6 month long training.
I didn't though, showed up drunk to the physical 4 times. They kicked me out.
But being forced to actually join the forces in active duty? Hell no.

Countries like Israel and Finland have it because they have dangerous neighbors and wouldn't get enough volunteers given their small population size. On the other hand, China technically has conscription but never actually enforces it because their population is so huge that they always get sufficient volunteers to meet quotas.

We get 5 euro per day as "pay" during the first 6 months. Not sure what the increase was after that but the last few months (for those who served 12 months) you get around 11 euro or so.

Here, from time to time, the army drives trucks in poor neighborhoods at night (sometimos during daylight) and starts forcefully recruiting any person suspected of being avoiding military conscription.

You can also spot them at bus stations or public squares inquiring people and asking for their documents, and if they find that you don't have a military card, they proceed to issue a citation note for you at the spot.
