Is your town more beautiful than mine?

is your town more beautiful than mine?

nah but it's alright

looks pretty comfy m8

>slavs are subhuma-

whoa

didn't italians build most of croatia's cities?

it's pretty comfy, but fug it's hard to beat any town that's on the northern end of the Adriatic coastline

...

you being italian is just a coincidence, didn't even notice lol

looks really rundown, fucking do some maintenance

Yes, only when italians came did architecture became known to us

no monies, my muslim friend

Yes we have to thank Italians for building all of our cities, just as Germans and Russians built all Polish ones

>being proud of being a townfag

that's a very pretty city desu

the croatians still take more care of their cities than the fucking shitalian government for its gem

now THIS is podracing. i absolutely love york. it is beyond me how this city is nowhere near london as a tourist destination.

towns > cities

That's a fairly high bar, but here's a good attempt, I think.

fucking Mary Poppins set

good lad x

^

kind of, the same people razed our cities beforehand though

glad danzig and breslau are where they belong though

Sadly, no.

you win that one.

here
The place where hopes and dreams die

Eh a fellow Yorkshire lad
Shame I'm from FUCKING BRADFORD

Why is it like this? Looks unfinished.

It's pretty, but I'm with Build height cap.

I like towns more too.
>It's pretty
Not really, New York is pretty, this is just a dull anthill.

>New York is pretty
You've never been to New York, have you?

aye, it's a shame bradford got blacked but at least you're surrounded by comfy west yorkshire countryside

>Build height cap.
I've seen some churches with things like that in Belgium, it was due to money shortage during building.

continue, please

Bitch please... Gdansk etc. has been Polish for 700 years while only 300 years Teutonic/Prussian/German combined.

No. Maybe it's not beautiful. Especially when you walk there. But Manhattan is a nice place when you look at it from above.

Yes

Croatia is rightful Hungarian clay, and I demand that Croats unite with our nation at once!

Didn't get blacked it got curried
Yes the countryside is very beautiful that's true and at least my village is white as fuck

if it's of any consolation to you, we would do much better with our hungarian overlords

although you were pretty huge dicks when you had your way with us

Since my home"town" is bumfuck nowhere village, here's current city

Is Portugal literally just an extension of Spain cause it sure seems that way

Go away islander

I live here, sure, it's a capital for commerce and culture, but literally everything out of the southern half of Manhattan and the immediate vicinity of Central Park is bumfuck ugly.

Do you live in Bronte Country?

enjoying those russians buying up everything?

Isn't it like this in every American city? You usually have downtown, which is good, and everything else.

No, but in terms of architecture Porto is literally an extension of Galician coastal cities. Or the other way around.

Close

>Russians
>Buying anything
Dude, it's not 2012 anymore.

Other way around

But here's a better shot of Porto.

...

America only has a handful of settlements that would be called cities here

nice filter instagram whore

>not living in the Scottish Highlands

>That HDR

That bridge ruins what would otherwise be a beautiful city scape

Old parts of Stockholm is the best. 12th century houses and alleys.
>pic related, I walk these streets every day

The colours, sure, but I wanted the perspective more than anything and picked the first one on jewgle.

There you go.

I like it. Makes it look Steampunk-y.

I'm not from Porto, though, I'm the Coimbra-fag from earlier.

I'd describe those more as memes than streets

>12th century houses and alleys.
Are they actually that old? How many of them?

This is Coimbra's real treasure though. I shall be perpetually butthurt that my adopted city didn't get to have anything close to this

Not really, but here's a picture of a comfy hill at the side of the highway

It's pretty good, not gonna lie. But you can't do a lot more than looking at it, and it's fairly small.

>we would do much better with our hungarian overlords
I was only joking user, please don't believe the memes. Our government is absolutely heinous, corrupt, and just like the previous communist regime, constantly stealing money and oppressing the people.

That said, I do wish Croatia was our ally again. We really did love you guys a lot :(

Yeahh... sometimes we were power tripping. Sorry. Look, I recognize things weren't always perfect, but you must admit you were usually handled with the kid gloves on, had more rights than all other minorities combined. Also our people got along really well. Still do actually.

It's small but it's one of a kind, which makes it invaluable. Do you know how many churches, how many beautiful and massive Sees exist in Portugal?

There's only one of those though.

>Are they actually that old? How many of them?
Yes, and there is a lot actually.
Gamla Stan (Old Town) , is one of the largest and best preserved medieval city centers in Europe, and one of the foremost attractions in Stockholm. This is where Stockholm was founded in 1252 and the first 5-6 houses were built. Now there is a a few hundred built between 1260 and 1299.
All of Gamla Stan and the adjacent island of Riddarholmen is packed full of vaults and frescoes from the Middle Ages as well.
My house was built in that period.

it's pretty comfy

Yeah. We also have pic related, which is pretty sweet.

Coimbra still has part of its original wall, an original medieval Romanesque church and a great botanical garden.

It's a fairly neat city, but I think we're often isolated with no sister-city rival our size to banter with.

...

...

I know, I was there for the queima for one day as well, it's something else a night let me tell you that.

You have Braga to banter with since the city grew recently, and they are some major Lisbon cocksuckers too so that makes it more enjoyable.

jesus christ is this made of plastic

It's alright.

Russia-tier

I like it. Can you have this view from a stationary point or is it a helicopter or drone?

Wow didn't know about it. I thought everything there is older. I should pay a visit, I like medieval towns.

Weird. All my experiences with Braga have been with nice people.

Braga has the population to match ours, but not the historical relevancy (unless you count the Bracara Augusta days) to match ours, since we were a capital and major nobility centre, so they really wouldn't fit.

For a while, we bantered with Lisbon, since we had the University and intelectual/artistic elite here, and they had the money, but they've since took off in population and resources and we sort of got left behind, sadly. Fucking Marquis de Pombal and Salazar and their love for that wretched place left us all poor trying to save it, and now only Porto can banter with Lisbon evenly matched, really.

We're too special of a snowflake of a city, in a bunch of ways.

This one is from air.

Its nice, albeit hot in the summer.

...

...

Best part of Évora, though.

I found the spot where it was taken on google earth, yeah the geography would not allow for such a view naturally.

They are nice people. No one is without flaws, I guess. And I'm well aware, actually the first accent to be "mocked" in Lisbon was the one from Coimbra, during the times of Gil Vicente. Nothing irrelevant ever gets hated like that.

Instead of size, you should go for quality. Make Coimbra the highest purchasing power, richest per capita, etc. which is actually a realistic goal that would give it relevance to banter with bigger cities.

my city is a shithole

Not old like Stockholm but Åre is a kind of nice town smack in the middle of the mountains.
One of Swedens best ski hills cuts straight through it.
Wanna ride some powder and get drunk in a hot tub on a roof outside while it's -30 C ? Right town for you.

Foda-se quero uma destas na minha rua. Em todas as ruas aliás

Pena o estado do templo.. Em espanha existe um muito parecido mas em muito melhor estado.

>Living in a big city full of assholes

That's actually not in Évora but in Valverde, a small village some 10kms away.

Jesus fuck those fucking filters make my eyes hurt.

Which one?

The problem with Coimbra is that its population is too fleeting, so it's inherently hard to retain brain power after the University, especially with all the University's accounts locked by the (((Lisbon-based))) government.

IPN and the Taveiro offices are still keeping the startup scene fairly alive, and with some big ones that both Lisbon's and Porto's have to compete with, if not in revenue, at the very least in reputation and pedigree.

I like it as is, desu. 15 minute commute to a clean and modern office is a fucking godsend.

Interesting, I didn't know that. Still counts.

I don't know

>Pena o estado do templo.. Em espanha existe um muito parecido mas em muito melhor estado.
Infelizmente o templo teve que ser quase reconstruído quando foi restaurado no século XIX, foi o que se arranjou.

Córdoba

lovely desu

Åre is small but awesome. Moved here last year.
Best part is the nature. Fin to see another from around here.

looks pretty dilapidated

>especially with all the University's accounts locked
Care to elaborate?

QUI'ESSA MERDA?

not quite

Is this some kind of Florida or something?
