Do you call your father 'father' or 'dad'?

Do you call your father 'father' or 'dad'?

i don't have one

my father is dead

"da"

I called him Dad

never had one

babas (dad)
pateras (father) is too formal, and I don't think many address their fathers like that in Greek

>tfw always scared when my dad came home drunk

I call him by his first name because he is a contemptible manchild who should never have had children.

Call him "farsan" which is neither dad or father. It's a different version of "far" which is father in Swedish.

>tfw no dad

I call him little old man

called em' pops

>em
Do you have two fathers? Or more?

>viejito
you call him like this? pretty cute desu

is it common for filipinos to know spanish? just curious

Just one, I also call other older people that.

>is it common for filipinos to know spanish? just curious
no. I'm considered rare here

I Call him pappy

I call him pa. I call my mother by her name, not for any lack of respect, it just happend. Feels weird calling her mom

I call him by his name. When he came back from war he was a different man so my older brother started calling him by the name. I was three but i knew that dad and Ljubisha are the same person. I also thought that old oeople are born old and that sparrows are the children of pidgeons and that a man is born with a wife.
If i called my dad dad, it would be cringy as fuck

I beat him up and tell him not to interact with anyone at home when he is drunk.
Same happened to me.

I call him 'ohchee' (oči), which is familiar for oče, so basically dad.

Calling your dad "father" is autistic as fuck

That is father. Tatko would be dad on your 'language'

I call him "ojciec", so "father". "Dad" would be "tata" in Polish, but I can't call my father like that. There is some kind of distance between us.

I call him "Please, Sir"

father or meme version like "batya"

baba

I call him Daddy.

pa
papi

Both.

Isä

I guess isä=father

papa

tata because I'm Polish

My dad died of cancer when I was 5 so I've never actually ever called someone "Dad" or
Father"

Killed himself when I was 12
So dad then but he wanted me to call him daddy at the time

you're American.

papi

Died a few months after impregnating my mom.

Pai.

Pops, daddio , father or by his full name if I want to annoy him.

Can't remember, been 10 years since I talked to him.

I call him Fadda

Don't worry, he would be extremely disappointed with you after seeing you post anime.

WEEBLEAF BTFO

In conversation with other people I refer to him as my father.

But I call him papa.

What do you call mommy?

I haven't spoken to my father in almost a decade because he's an abusive whoremonger.

I call him "tatang" which is Kapampangan for dad

In the same way I call my mum the Kampangan word for mum which is "ima"

I dunno a lick of Kapampangan but my dad speaks it

Neither. Dad.

Papá
Pa
Apá

I call both my parents by their first names, as do my siblings as well

I doubt it, he was a Japanese anime artist. I post anime to honour him.

I call him 'Dad' in an informal setting, i.e at the range or visiting his place, but 'Father' in public, like at restaurants.

Why?

what do you call your g'pa and g'ma?

I don't know when it started, but it just feels unnatural to call my parents by anything else. We're a close family so maybe we don't see it needing more respect

beppe for grandma and pake for grandpa

Papa

this

Papá

papa/ pita ji

Pappa.

>tfw my dad beats me up even though not drunk
>tfw I beat the shit out of him too
>can't tell if it's or him who is doing the domestic abusing

dad

>pop
>father with a heavy exaggerated english accent
>dadster
>the munstah
>THE BEAST
>daddy o' in a really shitty Elvis impression
>fatty
>papa gator
>baldy
>Homer
>tons o' fun
>shit spawner
>doc
>dad

I call him young guy

How long has that been going on?

Father
that said I have maybe seen him 5 times in the past 10 years

I call him by his nickname.

papa

H's death though ;_;

baba

pappa

I address him by his name, whenever I have to mention him to someone who doesn't know his name, I just say father

I've always called my parents by their first name.

I call him mostly "boludo" or "viejo" (old man) when I have to pretend seriousness

Haven't seem him for 7 years or even much. Call him by name.
I hate both my parents tbqh, I wish they both die soon. I never should have born, especially in "family" like this.

p'pa

(from papa, which is pretty much 'dad')

He's a deacon, so I call him dad to minimize confusion. He has his grandchildren call him papa, and I really disapprove of this. The only acceptable short forms of grandmother and grandfather are grandma and grandpa.

How is it being an uncle user?

>get to do fun kid stuff with kids
>spoil them and fill them full of sugar
>when they get hyper and annoying, drop them off at home
It's pretty cool. I've been an uncle since I was 14, and now that first nephew is the same age as many of the posters on this site.

pap

same

Očka

I don't call my father anything

Oh my youngest brother (four in all) was born when I was 12, so we're brought together in that regard I guess.

Yeah young children are fun, but the only thing it also did to me was that I'm not hurried to have any children of my own, since my parents dropped a lot of the responsibilities of taking care of him on me, and I'm not "curious" now to see how it is to tend for little children. I don't know if you have that too.
and I asked because at the rate things are going, I'm going to be an uncle much sooner than I'm a dad
Kaluguran daka

I call him Pa or Pare

T. Southener

>pap (when i was tiny)
>pa (when i was a teen)
>ouwe (when i was an adult)
>papa (when he died)

>pare
so that's where we got that word from

We use pare for friends tho, like "bro"

tate, mame

Father

i call him abba

Dipaneng alte

Either "Far" or his real name.

I call my father "batya".

Edgy. I bet I could beat you up. Used to compete actively in Judo in the past.

You better be a girl

damn that's acute dog
do dogs handle neckerchiefs well
they look so cute in them but I worry that I'm making them upset or something
