Traditional square farmstead from central Norway. These were built so that you could quickly access all the farm's buildings from the house.
The extremely long house usually contained two or more families, often parents/siblings to the owner of the farm.

This is one of my favourite buildings in the city I live in.
It's not huge or new but it has something about it that I love.
Nice. I love buildings with turrets and shit
I also like the highschool I attended to.
Yeah we have some of those I wish war didn't destroy 50% of the city though.
It looks very European but costal. I saw places like this in Baltic countries as well.

The orange hotel building destroys the view.
The university I attend - by Zaha Hadid
my local firestation
Old fishing village.
I'm sorry but this is just awful. Looks like some ship and the amout of white is giving me schizophrenia.
Love it.
Well most people I know are totally amazed by this building.
yea, same. A lot of our cities got firebombed to shit, so all the old wooden houses disappeared obviously.
Damn krauts
The wave of archritecture going on today is horrible. Look at this butt ugly hotel, got a big award for it
My eyes bleed
What the fuck. It looks like the building is censored or something.
Bros that is nothing. Look at this building in my city.

A boy?
my head hurts just from looking at this pic
modern architecture mixed with 15th century gothic
No, it's a barn. You know. where you put hay and cows. I just pointed it out since it looks a bit like the house.
one of my favorite school buildings in the country, a peculiar mixture of art deco, Mayan architecture and Hungarian folk motifs
Hello Karl-Erik!

Ottoman mosque from the 16th century transformed into a catholic church in Pécs
the rooftop of the Institute of Geography
another rooftop of the same style: the Museum of Applied Arts (the time it was built people mocked it as "Gypsy Palace", now it's considered to be one of the finest examples of Hungarian Art Nouveau)
This is pretty awesome. I like Art Nouveau.

Hadid is a genius
I've always loved this one too, it's the interior of the Research Centre for Natural Sciences of the Hungarian Academy
Firestation in Helsinki
That building with yellow windows has to be demolished. It makes me uncomfortable
yeah, that's the Hilton, it's a pretty divisive building, but sadly its predecessor was bombed to oblivion in WWII
Never seen nuns buy groceries before.
Awesome.
Get some taste, faget.

it doesn't look half as bad from the other side
We have nice firestation too
How about this freak?
Helsinki Cathedral.
I go to uni here, it's one of the few cities we have where the late 19th/early 20th century colonial architecture is still intact.
Obviously nothing compared to European cities, but it's nice to have something

Don't they live in wooden houses up there?
The first picture I posted is from Fremantle and the other two are from Adelaide. It's probably the most common traditional style in South Australia (from before California bungalows became popular). It's uniquely Australian. You also see examples with bluestone, higher rooves, etc..
Looks like a fucking spaceship just landed in the middle of rural england
Disgusting
Also, posting my uni
I'll post some colonial/Imperial stuff
