Black Mirror S3 E3

About half way through this episode, the kid is getting worked up over virtually nothing.
Ok so he masturbated, no one is going to care all that much even if it does get leaked. At most he would get laughed at for a couple of months and possibly fired from his shit job. Wow~.

I might actually just skip the rest of this episode.

>It were Kids Kenny, Kids!

Netflix ruined Black Mirror.
Every Netlfix ep is offal

>literally just telling us his opinions
Kek.

I agreed except... There's a twist at the end but nothing amazing.
he wasnt fapping to normal porn

please stop making threads about this logically inconsistent and hamfisted episode

I thought the CP came form the virus?

are you the same guy that posts muh entrapment in all the chip handsome threads?

No.

I thought the hackers framed him for what the real pedo did?

>and possibly fired from his shit job

You must be American, in no civilised country would you get sacked from your job just because you jerked off in your own home.

Still no.

He was a naughty boy who looked at CP, masturbated, and had it all recorded.

Want proof? he closed the video when he saw he was taking his pants off. He knew what it was.

Nice trips, but I don't know... I want to say logically you can't, but with scandals etc... But yea, I think he is 95% safe from being fired. He was just a cook or some shit.

Literally no children were harmed by his actions.

So the hackers are some anti-pedo squad? Does that mean Mindy was underage?

Doesn't matter. Not the point of the story.

Nope, he liked kids. Like REALLY liked kids.

>Implying that the real twist wasn't that his sister was looking for cp.
But seriously, i love how this show is triggering the pieces of shit that shitpost on this board.

Him having CP on his computer didn't matter at all. It was just the BTFO icing on the cake of his REKT life.

Best episode of the season btw, and also the only one that was 100% grounded in extant technology and contemporary criminal enterprise utilizing it.

It's relevant to the rush of reactions saying "I felt sympathy for him until the end."

The hacker was just doing it for the lulz. Moral faggot excuses for hard body trolling is a diversion tactic older than dirt.

I think it doesn't matter. The two people who fought to the death are CP people, that's definite. The others were kept alive, possibly because they didn't look at CP. I thought at first "Maybe everyone did" but, as I said, the others were spared, so perhaps not.

Your comment doesn't make sense in the comment flow. I replied to the someoen who said "no kids were hurt, so he's innocent"

>best episode
Eeee, I've seen too many blackmails and raids for it to be interesting. 100% realistic but not interesting enough.

For the lulz, and for the stolen money of course.

>caring about normies typical shit tier normie reflections

le team troll vs le team ourguy is typical a typical thoughtless interpretation for the pro-dinduball worshiping masses.

He didn't get the money, the cops did.

Hold on hold on, I'm both people in that flow. I think the morality of his actions IS important - maybe not directly to the story itself, but to the overwhelming reaction to the episode I've seen.

He's certainly not innocent in a legal sense or in a "shouldn't feel ashamed" sense - but I believe we should still feel utter sympathy for him at the end point.

I agree, I think, although I find it hard to follow all the buzzwords. But I'd still like to address those common reactions to the episode.

if no one watched CP, no one would make CP. It's not that hard to understand, user

Glad I've got to witness the birth of a shit new meme on here these past few days

I fucking hate this place sometimes

Kek. That's not quite true.... I take nudes of my girlfriend for instance. No one else sees them.

I didn't say interesting though, just THE BEST.

I liked how actually grounded it was. A pure suspense-driven horrorshow is sometimes more enjoyable than a (((2uncanny))) fantasy romp such as the lesbian slashfic episode.

Well, for empathy, sure. Embarrassed kid stuck in a shit situation, forced to do all kinds of bad shit. Poor poor boy. Till we find out he was looking at kiddie stuff. At that point, the audience should stop supporting him.

...

Why?

I don't think people go out and molest children out of a sense of entrepreneurial spirit to make a buck on the free market by selling it.

I strongly suspect (may be wrong,) that the vast vast majority of CP is originally made for personal purposes.

I'd take The Roach episode over it. I thought it had more tension. But this just my opinion. Shut up and dance was fine though.

Most people (the audience) will say pedos are the worst people in the universe and instantly jump to castration/death penalty. That's what the directors were aiming for.

Roach was shit. Cool idea for a sci-fi short story but stretched out to an hour with poor action and no actual plot development but the twist you see a mile off? Bored as shit for it

>Roach was shit.

>I strongly suspect (may be wrong,) that the vast vast majority of CP is originally made for personal purposes.

If someone uploaded it online it's because they want others to enjoy it, cp is just like any other porn. There's the professional studio stuff and the personal stuff that is uploaded for other to enjoy, share, trade.

>need to have a strong female character
>let's write an obnoxious dickhead of a man and then literally change his gender and nothing else

She was fucking awful

>no plot development
What. That's all it was.
I think he had real suspense.
Yea, I think most episodes are dragged out too much, but this less so.
I think most people thought he was GOING to be a Roach, not that they were normal people. I thought that he was being forced to see them as normal people by some trick.
The fact that he came down to: yea, we are making you see them as monsters because we want it to be easier for you WAS a good twist and the rationale behind it was new.

>There's the professional studio stuff

Is there really? I'm legitimately curious, as I always assumed that didn't make any sense.

If there is, and people are making a profit from it, I suppose I'd agree that it's wrong to pay for child porn.

>WOW FAPPING TO CP IS THE MOST HEINOUS CRIME IN THE UNIVERSE
>UNDERAGE CHILDREN ARE TOTALLY EXEMPT FROM RESPONSIBILITY AND MUST BE PROTECTED AT ALL COST

>WOW THIS UNDERAGE CHILD FLAPPED TO PICS OF OTHER UNDERAGE CHILDREN, HE LITERALLY DESERVES TO DIE

that was a nice touch, so was calling the joing "Barnies".
They also do some nice bits with him girls obviously finding him attractive but him not catching on.

But overall the episode is just weak. Actor is too young looking for the pedoism to be truly shocking. also how did he win the fight?

black mirror is sloppy as fuck

>the Waldo episode

>underage

He was 19, at least written as that age but yeah I see what you mean, he looked and acted like he was 14 or something.

Like I say the MASS system controlling the soldiers like that was an interesting concept for a sci-fi short but that's all I got out of the episode

Right from the get go, you know for an absolute fact that Black Mirror takes societal and technological trends and moves them to an extreme end to highlight a narrative. Here that's Mass. Roaches as some kind of sub human inferior genetic creatures will 100% not exist in the Black Mirror universe. Brooker wouldn't write them as they wouldn't fit with what he wants to say.

You know that as a fact, and like how you see the bees in the last episode you know the MASS system is going to be the point. From there, coupled with the little flashlight, it was obvious where it was going. He wouldn't turn into a roach for the same reason, as that doesn't say anything about tech relevant to us in our world.

Yes there is. There are modeling agencies that are in the grey area(no nudity) and there's are also straight up studio produced cp.

jews will literally sell anything

Relax, relax. I'm saying what the normie audience is supposed to think. Come on, what do YOU the audience is supposed to think?

There is, but the professional stuff was made before it was made illegal. Cp laws are a lot more recent than most people realize, cp was literally legal in the United States up to the early 80s, and was legal in a lot of places in Europe up to the early 00's.

He was an adult and it is implied that he was looking at kids, not that hebe shit but actual kids.

Fair points. To be fair, I recently watched Starship Troopers for the first time ever so I have a slight biased opinion on killing bugs.

There's still a lot of pro shit made today, a lot of it used to be posted on Sup Forums and occasionally even here. Most of it is made in other countries like Russia.

CP wasn't legal, there were just no laws specifically against it. The time between "legal CP" started popping up and cp laws was extremely short.

Why? You only have to sympathize with the pedokid enough to recognize how his mental anguish is driving him further and further down into the trolls snare. People should be able to appreciate his psychological tension for what it is, fuel for driving action in a suspense-thriller. That doesnt mean you have to identify with his desire for cheese pizza and start jacking off to kids lmao.

Disregard plebs.

the fact that this was not clear for many viewers points out a major flaw in the episode

Show has its good points but during most of the episodes I find myself asking questions like "why are they doing this? why don't they just..."
Proper character motivation and logic is spotty

You have no idea... fucking production values better than Hustler.

Are you an idiot? You look at them, therefore she takes them. Jesus

There's no supply and demand for CP. People literally get off on making CP for it's own sake.

It's clearly the point of the twist end to recontextualize the events of the episode until that point. For many people, that's a moral recontextualization which brings up questions of dessert.

I appreciate that may not be the most interesting question to you, but I've been fascinated with ethics for a while.

What I mean is, people look at it without making their own but it will also be made, if that leech population doesn't exist.
People will also share it just because.

almost no one buys CP anymore because it's 1) fucking obviously going to get you caught using your credit card to buy it 2) given away for free on shitholes like this very website

people make it for the kudos from their pedo friends on irc

I wish that they had made it obvious he was worried about his taste in porn getting out rather than a video of him jerking it. The email should have been something like, "We know what you've been watching," with an image link. He then clicks on it and you don't see what he looks at, but he closes the laptop right away.

Later in the episode, he tells Bronn that he was jerking it to something weird like farting porn and maybe Bronn makes some remark like, "Hey, at least it's not something like rape or kiddie porn."

Why couldn't the kid just tell the hackers to fuck off and say that he can claim that he was hacked and someone planted cp on his computer if they released anything? Is he retarded?

It couldn't have been any clearer from his little interaction with the kid and his wistful contemplation of the coloring paper that the dude was a stealth CP buff. Anybody who felt their discussing the stakes of getting exposed for possessing child porn was a true revelation is too thick to read dramatic cues.

PLOT
Also, when you get spooked, you'll do anything. I'd take out the part that he goes to fuckign sleep and work. Because at that time, he'd start to think and figure shit out.

I also wonder if they can legally go after him. Cops can't use certain evidence for example if the means they got it was illegal unless they have a warrant.

Laws are different all over the world as well as their enforcement, then there also shit like bitcoin and you can even still find some cp on chaturbate like sites.

> kid looks at a fast food joint coloring mat
> he must be a pedo!

i think you might have some issues there kouhai

>Actor is too young looking for the pedoism to be truly shocking

I think that was intentional

But when you look at the girl who foreshadowed it she was like 4 so it's hard to sympathise

That's only an ethical issue if you are the kind of person who already has ambiguous feelings about the merits of due process and the right of being free from cruel and unusual punishment. Is forcing somebody to commit armed robbery and terrorize innocent people, then have a fight to the death in hand to hand combat justified by the fact that the crime they are guilty of is owning child porn?

Maybe some think so, but as a person who sometimes patronizes banks I'd like to see them thrown into the colloseum with the pedos as well.

He was a pedo and fappin to kids...

that is OP's joke.

>17 year old looking at 4 year olds is ok because they're both underage

No.

> Is he retarded?

He works at a fast food joint and tried to fix malware by googling "remove malware", of course he's a retard

Honestly couldn't disagree more. You empathise with him because he got caught wanking and you'd be embarrassed too. Putting it your way immediately gives the game away so you're suspicious from the start and empathise less, and the episode is good because of the recontextualisation at that end.

19 y/o socially awkward kid, plus the troll had access to his computer - he's not perfectly rational, if he was he'd have checked the gun earlier, checked the cake, etc. Plus he's got to assume they could have internet logs that correspond to the video or something, and the evidence is apparently enough for the police

kenny's boss is mommykino

He was daydreaming while looking at the mat. What did you think he was daydreaming about? The picture drawn on the paper itself?

I can never understand why people who pride themselves on being unobservant viewers like to brag about it in episode discussion threads so much.

No one is mad because the hacker used the stale trollface meme?

I felt for the kid, i also watch CP and i hide it.

You'd be suspicious, yeah, but that would go away when he reveals what he fapped to.

Or maybe not.

Personally, I did empathize with him and there was still a part in the back of my mind that thought he was a pedo. So when it was revealed later he was, all I thought was, "Yeah, so?"

they should've used this instead

I learn to survive. Honestly, they used it correctly and it wasn't overdone.

On the OTHER hand, the insane amount of video game and pop culture references in the VR episode DID bother me. Way over board.

no, that meme will never get old + brooker winked at us with it and cp

Or

:^)

It's purposely used because it's the most known symbol on the internet for trolls. Television and movies employ tropes/cliches/common symbols/etc.,, so that the average audience member can understand.

I would have laughed.

No one would have understood it
