Are there any Venezuelans lurking around?

All problems in every single Latin american cunt combined turned up to 11

MARICO MAMAGUEVO

It is a 4th world country now

They fled to Brazil.

I'm waiting for a follow up thread of the user who works as a paramedic and was going to escape to Colombia...

Hope he's doing alright :v

Is it really that bad?
I have a friend there and everything he describes sounds horrible, essentially as if a War is going on.

I don't really know what to say to him, he seems in a bad state

I remember his thread, I hope the same.

>what's happening in their Cunt
Mad Max Tropical Edition (with cheap oil)

i hope they all get fucked

They fled to Miami

Tell him to scape to Panama.

It's an economic meltdown.
He'll go hungry but he won't die.

Something slightly less severe happened in Mexico in 1994. There was a loss of confidence in the Mexican Peso because of a combination of the Zapatista uprising (which was nothing, really) and general mismanagement. Eventually there was hyperinflation and prices skyrocketed. Bad times.

Colombia* FTFY
You have minute amounts in comparison to us m8

He can get away to USA, but it'd mean leaving everyone behind which he doesn't want to do
He's mentioned lack of money, but shit I didn't really think about it from this aspect. He also said soon everything is going to be seen as public property, so there's no ownership for anyone.

As for dying, isn't the war itself a big threat to life? He was talking about saying screw it and just heading out with a gun. I tried talking him out of it but I don't know what else to suggest

Shit is fucked up over here. Fuck Maduro.

Are you fighting on the streets? How bad is it in your area? Are there any spots where it's sort of safe?
How do you even get time to post here, I heard electricity goes off and on at random

...

we are templars and shiet.

>Are you fighting on the streets?
Not fighting in the frontlines but I go to the protests. 84 have been killed during protests since April 1, even more killed that are unaccounted during nights when collectivos (thugs armed by the regime) go out.

>How bad is it in your area?
I live in the east of Caracas, protests usually happen more on the west side, nearer to the central government.

>Are there any spots where it's sort of safe?
See above. But that's only protests. It's not safe anywhere. Crime is rampant here. About 28.000 were killed last year (that's 92 per 100k inhabitants).

>How do you even get time to post here
There are off days, usually tuesdays and thursdays. Today was one.

>I heard electricity goes off and on at random
It depends on where you live. In Caracas we get electricity (with a blackout about once a week) but there are towns and cities that can have daily 4-5 hours blackouts. We've rather got water supply issues here (my street hadn't had water since Saturday for instance).

how's the prices of food, and other items? how are you getting by?

>I go to the protests.
You are very brave and I respect you for it.

I sincerely hope that the Venezuelan people succeed in liberating their country.

>I sincerely hope that the Venezuelan people succeed in liberating their country.

Same here but unfortunately, once you go commie, the stain carries on for decades.

What are you planning on doing moving forward? Do you see a viable way out?

I want to give my friend some not shit advice, so he doesn't just go out and get himself killed for no reason

Minimum monthly wage is Bs. 65.000 (about $10 right now) and Bs. 135.000 in food tickets. #1 = Bs. 6480 but almost nobody earns that. The minimum monthly income needed to feed a family is Bs. 1.068.643 (that was back in March, it's higher now). There's people that only eat one meal a day and even search the trash for food.

If you want to see how inflation is going, just see the price of the dollar:

>What are you planning on doing moving forward? Do you see a viable way out?
Keep up the protests for now, every day we're closing in more to the central government buildings. But if Maduro gets to make the constituent assembly on July 30, we'll be fucked beyond hope.

>#1 = Bs. 6480
$1 = Bs. 6480

>I want to give my friend some not shit advice, so he doesn't just go out and get himself killed for no reason
I don't have much advice to give other than to not be reckless. The GNB are shooting with real bullets now (not pellets) and they aim tear gas bombs directly at people.

>than to not be reckless
That's my issue, he doesn't value his own life so much. I don't see how getting himself offed is the answer but he seems to think if he can take 1 or 2 with him he's good.

Hope you stay safe bro. Had no idea things were even this bad in Venezuela, rarely gets coverage. Good luck with your protests too

>he seems to think if he can take 1 or 2 with him he's good.
Su amigo es BASED.

I like Venezuela and Argentina, they're the failures everyone else can laugh at to make themselves feel better due to how badly they squandered their positions and how far they fell.

Venezuela, in addition to all the massive economic problems, currently has the second highest homicide rate in the world.

The lad is in his teens, that won't really solve anything

>Had no idea things were even this bad in Venezuela, rarely gets coverage
It got covered pretty well during the 2014 protests (probably helped by the Ucranian protests). But now mainstream media is pretty quiet outside of some Latin American newspapers, it's pretty frustrating tbqh. The 2017 protests have been going for longer and much stronger repression than 2014 too.

If $1 is 6480bs and almost no one earns that why not ask online for $20 and live like a socialist king for a month, or something? I pay $20 for a single meal sometimes, and $20 is pretty expendable for 99.99% of people living in first-world countries.

Because of the difficulty of getting that money there I guess. Also pride, you try begging some randoms on the internet for money.

Rarely gets coverage?

Western Media doesn't shut up about Venezuela. It's like the most covered developing nation on earth.

Like every 2 days the most upvoted story on /r/all is something about Venezuela.

Still better than brazil and other SA countries

Look at hdi and gdp

HDI is a meme, and in GDP per capita it used to be richer than France or Noway in 1950.

>hdi and gdp
Absolutely meaningless in this case. Food shortages, no medicines, corruption and rampant crime. Don't talk if you don't know anything about what's going on in Venezuela.

Yeah but it is still 3rd richest south american country

They have just some problems now thabks to the low oil prices

Btw shops are still fully stocked, its just western neoliberal propaganda

>Btw shops are still fully stocked
They aren't.

I'm talking about facts, not some your personal biased stories

You are probably son of some butthurt opposition politics

Go ask some poor people, they still love socialism

Yeah coca cola is missing, the horror

stop posting.

>Go ask some poor people, they still love socialism
15% approval ratings for Maduro, mostly from "enchufados" and retards.

>Yeah coca cola is missing, the horror
We can find Coca Cola though, no shortages there. But we can't find bread, toilet paper, soap, flour, sugar. People have lost 20 pounds on average this year because inflation is in the triple digits.

Thats why venezuela needs nacionalization of all agriculture and land reform

Buy local and bio

...

92 per 100K

so you basically have a 1 in 100 chance of being murdered living there? holy shit that sucks. i cant even imagine.

>nacionalization of all agriculture and land reform
They've nationalized everything else and it's been a disaster. They can't even make toilet paper anymore ffs.
are you just shitposting?

Fuck Off commie
You mentioned earlier that you were getting closer to the government buildings. Is this a sort of siege situation? What about the other major cities? Is the opposition to Maduro actually organized and armed?

According to western media propaganda

Look at local sources

Intersting that there is always one right wing user spreading lies about venezuela. Opposition have troll factory like russians

...

Sounds terrible man

>Still better than brazil and other SA countries
Nigger are you stupid or are you trolling? I went to Venezuela last year and the situation is beyond fucked up. Even poor as fuck countries like Nicaragua or Bolivia are in a better situation nowadays. You have to look at the whole situation and overall quality of life, not just meme HDI and GDP statistics, which have also plummeted in the last couple of years.

I wonder what pro chavista say about the current status. There used to be a shitload of them when the gravy train was going on, now I wonder who easy it is for them to go all pro democracy n shit.

I never hear about it
