I think we are so because in Japan we don't need to use English and there are many information and books about the world(because Japanese native speakers are 120 million) and Japanese is one of the most diffrent language from English( pronunciation and letters and grammar and so on)

i took years of spanish, and it's so much more simple. the grammar structure, the parts of speech, the total word count. it's all more caveman-like, and i hate it. there are so many expression in english which take about half as much detail in spanish and convey so much less
